What happened to Beaumont Hannant? (Electronica), by scavos on Sept 7, 2007 23:56:55 GMT 1, I've been a fan of Beaumont's electronica for many years, since Basic Data Manipulation and love most of the GPR catalogue, (still collecting the label) including Black Dog, Cherry Bomb, YO3, Luke Slater and Germ etc. 
Does anyone know what he is doing now? He was due to release and album called Tones a few years ago that never materialised. Heard nothing from him since. I miss his music!
A mate used to go to school with him in York and said he thinks he's left music altogether and is working in the care sector.
Does anyone know if he is still around. Maybe recording under another name as he sometimes did?
If you haven't heard his music then grab a blast of the album, Basic Data Manipulation Vol.2 1994 I think, and turn up the volume. It'll throw your brain into somersaults. Awesome.
