I thought the sale at ยฃ370 was newsworthy. I believe the gallery in Japan had only one which I presume is long gone.
Good luck.

sold, by Ruggs on Apr 30, 2010 13:28:41 GMT 1, It's baffled me for some time why Beejoir's 'LV Child' unsigned edition of 400 is not as highly valued as, say, a Banksy 'Flag' or unsigned 'Morons'. It should be worth far more than its current market value in my opinion. Interestingly though just of late a few on eBay have gone for ยฃ200+. Worth keeping hold of I reckon. I think its now becoming more sought after which will only see values of this splendid print appreciate. I was lucky enough to get a 'red' Japanese version. Lovely colourway. Hoping to get that framed real soon. Good luck with your sale zippy!

I totally agree with that. I've considered selling mine as it's not on the wall but I always get a strong feeling that I would regret it one day if I did. It's a very classic, movement defining image imo.

I've considered selling mine as it's not on the wall but I always get a strong feeling that I would regret it one day if I did. It's a very classic, movement defining image imo. Defining image yes! Rarity? hell, no! The Green version of 35 was supposed to be the final print, then 400 unsigned in Grey, now these red ones in Japan. Soon to come, the multi coloured Hawaiian version or the white Icelandic version. Never mind the different colours in AP format, PPs and gifts, then the thousands of statues in gold and black. Don't get me started about the hundreds of canvasses! ;D
So, 400 unsigned, 35 signed, 125 Japanese and around a dozen a/p's, p/p's and 'gift' prints makes approximately 572 prints. A reasonable run i'd say compared to early Banksy unsigned releases topping the 600 mark. Not forgetting the 'Flag' at 1000 copies and still worth around ยฃ500ish! The LV being such a classic image should at least be worth that much. Maybe it will in the future. We'll see!

Not so much about the LV Child image as the Beejoir Brand.
LV child is a classic image, but there are many Artists who have produced amazing images that you can pick up for reasonble prices.

Don't get me started on Banksy's Laugh Now Canvases/Wood/Card/Doors/Metal/Paper blah blah blah. If it was just a one off it would have been swept under the carpet in my opinion, but because of the exposure its become far more known.
I've not seen the letter from LV, can someone post it here?

Y'all forgetting one thing... Beejoir ain't Banksy. Banksy can have large editions that wont be scrap in 10 years time.
Oh I forgot Lord Banksy is the only one allowed to have editions.
Quite impressive sales of this edition over the past 5 years though, steady as well, with a fair bit of auction history, I wouldn't rubbish it quite as much.
