To be honnest I didn't get 'Box Kid' to start with....
....but I'm guessing it could be a reminder the west isn't looking after the children of Africa/the developing world ...as the box has a 'Handle with care ' on it......and we allow millions to die each year from illness and starvation...
...alternatively 100,000s of children in the devloping world live on the streets with only a cardboard box to their name...faceless kids....?
...I feel there is a lot of naive honnesty in the style of Adam's work...hiding some pretty dark messages...? For me his work is a real 'Grower'.....less is more.....kind of thing.
So good to see an artist just using his skills with a pencil/pen rather than his skills with Photoshop!!

Thanks for the info. I didnt know it 'handle with care' on it. Did the box say 'alife'? If so i now understand and wish i had picked it up!

Hes a real talent, just thought those images needed a higher quality paper and
would have paid a little more for them. As an image for your wall they are great.

Thats why the pigeon with bag on its head works so well, you get the emotion of the pigeon.
Brilliant stuff.
Also like to point out he is a fellow grad from the Norwich School of Art & Design (now called NUCA), its always worth going to the grad shows there if you want to pick up some quality artwork. They regularly get lectures from people like tracey emin etc but its all very secret. First rule of NUCA is to not talk about NUCA

Had the same problem. Keep on emailing they will answer in the end. I know they had some problems keeping track of sales etc they didnt expect the demand.

1st series great images, unfortunately staples photocopier quality.
The website description for both series was the same but seems they have listened to the forum comments.
I feel used and abused. Ive been used for consumer research purposes
