Your latest Art Purchase?, by robinbanks on Dec 19, 2008 20:48:13 GMT 1, Beautiful frame jobs there Sahoria - really simple and understated - love how you've let the art do the talking.
I especially like the Keyes Thunder - that would be in my top 5 prints of the year.
It must feel like Xmas has come early in your house!
Enjoy!!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Prescription Art on Dec 19, 2008 21:15:38 GMT 1, I have received several PM's about the Think Tank poster - I want to clarify that it is a promotional poster that I bought on Flea Bay a while back - the thing is huge but it is absolutely stunning in the flesh and I recommend it to anyone who appreciates Mr. B's work but doesn't have the dorayme to afford the real McCoy - I hope no one felt deceived by my post - I had no intention of misleading the group - I like to collect originals but I also fancy cheap record sleeves , save or deletes posters , postcards and anything else Sir Banksyesque -
Nice, yeah I agree you don't have to spend a fortune on a collection.... record / posters / postcards / stickers aren't expensive.
EDIT: though looking at your vinyl collection I reckon you should try & upgrade to the Badmeaningood, We love you so love us & Blur sleeves if you can...!

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Wearology on Dec 19, 2008 23:05:46 GMT 1, I know collecting knock off record sleeves by people profiting from Mr. B's genius might seem like I am supporting art terrorism but sometimes we buy things for the pure pleasure and other times you wake up at 4AM in America and call a record store in some town in England that I have never heard of and order an album with gorillas or rats on it. By the way I will send photos of the rest of my pathetic record collection I have about ten more variations of the Blur CD , Vinyl , Asian Version etc. - my 7 year old wanted to know why the man in mommies shoes was siting on the fat ladies face that was a fun explanation.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by edcase on Dec 20, 2008 23:54:07 GMT 1, Cheers all...will be the last update for a while...have the collection pretty rounded now and having a bit of a buying amnesty for a few months i think!!!!
The big tube was the dain sinister boy! Big tube for a big journey (came to me from Oz.)
The Cept was from stella dore, I bought it within about 20 mins of it being available so I don't think many people have seen it. I really like it.
BTW LOVING THE KAWS!!!
This is always my favourite thread, great to see people's collections, keep it up!

Agreed. I dislike the perspex box framing too, but this piece looks lovely. Enjoy Origo.

Your latest Art Purchase?, by Harveyn on Dec 22, 2008 23:24:01 GMT 1, Conor Harrington oil on canvas in an acrylic box frame with black opaque acrylic sides. Big thank you to Mrframeman for great service once again.
The simple lines really suit this piece with the box frame size kept to a minimum so as not to detract from the work.
