Does anybody know the Artist EMO ?, by Shoot Again on Apr 21, 2011 15:47:25 GMT 1, I heard he's been tagging walls in Mauritius and some of his prints are to be sold at Urban Art Gallery.... Has any of you expert guys ever heard of him ? His work looks very much inspired by Banky's (copy-cat ?), does any of you have an opinion on his artworks ? Thanks

When you say 'to be sold at Urban Art Gallery' what you mean is sold by Emilio (aka EMO) on ebay under the name Urban Art Gallery 1 i believe, i.e selling his own work on ebay as if he's a gallery. He has massively overpriced banksy prints alongside his massively overpriced prints and awful sculptures etc. I've never heard of him painting outside anywhere and am a little dubious that he has ever done anything more urban than call himself urban art gallery.

This is probably correct (from what I've read so far...) and you're probably just having a bad day, so I wont take it personal this time ;-) That being said, I think that with your tone you still answered my question (ie. I did jump to a conclusion wrongly based on your other posts randomly asking about emo.
Im not impressed by his work but will give him some credit that some work has actually sold at high prices in the past !

Just had a quick scan of emo's flickr and can't see anything other than stuff being flogged which i've also seen on ebay. I'd much rather see his street work....
