Screen printing prep tutorials, by jones27 on Jan 18, 2011 17:39:56 GMT 1, Im sure someone posted some tutorials on here a while back regarding preparing images for screen print (photoshop etc). Im thinking of doing a screening printing workshop but need to know how best to prepare my imagery before hand. Any info? Thanks

Screen printing prep tutorials, by Mark Perronet on Jan 19, 2011 19:00:13 GMT 1, make your image the size you want the print at 300dpi and save as a bitmap, this will ensure there are no greys in the file. Usually Hobs, Service Point etc. prefer Pdfs so then save as a Pdf and get the output on trace. If your doing several colours then each layer is treated the same, and make sure you work out which colours are going to be printed first (usally light to dark) and allow for overlaps (trapping) Feel free to PM or mark@artswipe.com for futher techy detail.
