Great Banksy Book - Whats else is out there?, by freddy on Jan 10, 2011 19:50:30 GMT 1, Hi guys,
after I found a quite interesting book about Mr. B written in a scientific way of view, I was wondering if there is more stuff like that out there. It's a German book called "Something to s(pr)ay: Der Street Artivist Banksy: Eine kunstwissenschaftliche Untersuchung". Which means as much as "Something to s(pr)ay: The Street Artivist Banksy: A Scientific Art Investigation". Starts out with the beginnings and history of graffiti and ends in discussing some iconic Banksy works.
Any more great books, articles etc. out there that are worth to be read you would recommend ? What are your favorites?

Great Banksy Book - Whats else is out there?, by pcant on Jan 10, 2011 20:04:46 GMT 1, If you haven't already, I would get "Wall and Piece," it combines three earlier Banksy books (that are expensive to find these days) into one, with some additional bits. Plus it has the best book jacket quote I've ever seen, hands down.

Covers 50ish pages of Banksy alone, as well as many other Bristol artists, excellent value.
Not too sure if I have seen mentioned here on the Forum before.

hi Freddy, not Banksy but Slinkachu's book is brilliant, dirt cheap on Amazon and well worth checking out IMO.

I got the Faile book and Beyond the Street recently, and both are fantastic. It was particularly pleasing to see the Faile stencil that I have get a full page picture!

Theres a great photo in Beyon the Street of a Morons print being sold in an auction, where the photo looks just like Morons, if you know what I mean. Brilliant.

also, if you're ever looking for a unique children's street art book, you gotta check out Michael De Feo's book "Alphabet City." I bought one for my 2 year old niece and loved it so much I ordered another one for myself!
