Its like looking at last weeks lotto numbers in the paper and wishing you had the paper the previous week, hindsight and all that, I remember seeing lots of pieces up on pow that i could have brought and have now gone up in value, but hey ho,

What do you regret selling the most?, by Deleted on Sept 10, 2010 12:47:03 GMT 1, Sold to stop the constant moaning about the Kitchen doors falling off. If i ever got the chance to own one again. Rather than sell, I'd wear a wig, put on some high heals, mini skirt and sell my ass rather than part with it. Big mistake. Have something coming soon that'll compensate very nicely though .

Wow that must have taken some serious moaning to make you part with that.

What do you regret selling the most?, by spencerlee on Sept 10, 2010 14:06:31 GMT 1, Ha. I was thinking about selling my Faile BG Red to pay for car insurance, but I think I might just sell my arse instead as I will be worried about appearing on one of these threads.

Good choice! I own a Red BG, and it'd pretty much be the last print i'd ever sell!

What do you regret selling the most?, by maadbeats on Sept 10, 2010 18:11:58 GMT 1, i regret selling my 2 McGinness prints from 2002. Loved them forever and was waiting to frame them. But Parla came into my life and had to have a canvas. It was well worth it to get the funding together although I wish I had sold some other crap insteed

What do you regret selling the most?, by Coach on Sept 10, 2010 20:31:22 GMT 1, I really regret having an exchange of emails with Charming Baker about a canvass purchase, and getting cold feet, and not buying. Guess the canvass would now cost about 10, maybe 15 times what I would have paid then, and I know I will now never own a CB canvass. Gutted. c shows the people in it for the money... thought this thread was about the art. my bad.
Woah! Freerange - thats out of order. Re read my post will you. If I had said that I had the oportunity to buy a CB piece cheap and could have sold it for much more, then you would be right. But I didnt. I said that I had been in discussions with CB to buy a piece when prices were affordable (cos I love his art, not to make money - get it?), had bottled it (cos it was still a lot of money even then), and now his pieces are so much more expensive, and I will now never be able to afford one of his og's - so there will never be a CB canvass on my WALL. I thoght that was clear. I also thought that after several years, you would credit me with more, even if we havent always seen eye to eye. c

What do you regret selling the most?, by rkitek on Sept 10, 2010 20:55:39 GMT 1, Thanks Pezlow & Coach, it still stings a bit when I look at them again. Mind you, I did get an Ian Francis canvas and Parla watercolour as a result so it's not all bad.

What do you regret selling the most?, by jakek on Sept 10, 2010 21:12:04 GMT 1, Still enjoying the corsa ??
5 years and 60k miles the corsa is still going! Thinking about the maths again though, it was actually only about a third of the corsa - if i could do it all again i'd have kept the pieces on the wall and gone from banger to banger!
It's not the end of the world though - i used the same amount of money i'd got and now have a signed soup can and an unsigned iftl on the walls. They may not be as popular images but they mean more to me.
Also i think selling an original has got to have more opportunity for regret as once it's gone it's gone - where as with a print you can always try and get another number from the edition.
