Help with techniques thread or forum?, by Stoko on Jul 21, 2010 9:11:29 GMT 1, OK everyone, I'm a newby on here though I have been doing stencils, paste ups and illustration for years.
I noticed a thread about advice for preparing for screen print, and another mention about unprimed canvas, and was thinking it might be nice to have a thread (or even sub forum Mods?) about techniques that we can all add our little expertises and experiences to.
For example, I've never delved into the world of spraying other than basic stencilling, and am always amazed at the dexterity and skill of free hand sprayers - any hints (other than to go and do it, get it wrong, and do it til you get it right?!?) off some of you experts?
What brands/types of paint? Prefer Gloss or satin? Use primers or undercoats? Suppliers?
Do any of you mob use an airbrush for details etc?
Might be nice if we could have a 'walk through' thread/forum for different media or techniques. Opinions?

It's a dedicated stencil forum for beginners to the very accomplished. They have tutorial sections, advice threads and places to post your stencils (street and canvas) plus tonnes of other graf, stickers, photos etc etc
