"The Next Generation" @ London Miles Gallery, by RPM on Jun 9, 2010 18:37:52 GMT 1, I'm surprised nobody has posted about this yet, but this group show is set to open in London tomorrow and I really wish I could be there to see it in person.
This is curated by Andrew Hosner of Thinkspace Gallery in L.A. and represents a strong list of artists both well-known and up-and-coming in the U.S. scene. All the pieces are 12" x 12". I also like that the pieces are not super over-priced, giving people a good opportunity to add a piece to their collection without killing the savings account.

And, no, I'm not employed by either gallery and this is not a paid advertisement. Just a major fan of a lot of these artists (Audrey Kawasaki, Nathan DeYoung, Anthony Clarkson, Bumblebee, Sarah Joncas, etc.) and very happy to see them showing overseas. If anyone makes it to the show, please share your thoughts.

"The Next Generation" @ London Miles Gallery, by rkitek on Jun 9, 2010 18:53:00 GMT 1, Nice Audrey! I'd be curious to hear people's thoughts as well that attend the show as this is different kind of art than is usually discussed on the forum.

Gaia has shown at Thinkspace previously, so I think that's where the connection lies.
Here's the online preview for those of you interested. Not surprised to see the Audrey Kawasaki and Nathan DeYoung pieces are already sold ...

"The Next Generation" @ London Miles Gallery, by geoffw on Jun 11, 2010 13:05:49 GMT 1, They're not badly priced but i'm finding a lot of the works are nowhere near the best that some of those artists have produced which is a real shame.
