Whats Going On?, by RetroCanvas on May 12, 2010 12:59:54 GMT 1, Long time no post for me so hi everyone!
I've been trying to find out if there is anything worthwhile seeing in LA during 7th and 8th June and also in New York during the 27th and 28th June? (Art related)
Does anyone have any links or recommendations they can reply with so I can start planning my trip as I'm having a nightmare sniffing stuff out?
Cheers all

Whats Going On?, by BK83 on May 13, 2010 16:47:10 GMT 1, 8th June is the opening of the LAz show out in LA. Choe finishes up end of this month and they re-open the space with a group show featuring Conor Harrington (and some other people) but most importantly CONOR HARRINGTON!

Whats Going On?, by RetroCanvas on May 14, 2010 12:34:42 GMT 1, On Laz's site it says that the show is open from the 9th.
Is there a preview or something on the 8th? I won't be able to make the 9th :-(

Whats Going On?, by brittbritt on May 14, 2010 15:36:34 GMT 1, You can always spend an afternoon exploring the LA Freewalls Project in Downtown LA... 2nd and Traction to 7th and Mateo, between Alameda and Santa Fe... Shepard Fairey, DFace, Saber, and lots of others have been panting permanent murals down there.
There's also the museums, Subliminal Projects Gallery on Sunset, Known Gallery on Fairfax, and lots of high-end galleries at the Bergamot Station Arts Center in Santa Monica. I recommend Robert Berman's Gallery and Copro Nason in particular. There's also Corey Helford Gallery in Culver City.
Also, the Banksy "Park(ing)" on Broadway is still there to be seen...
