Banksy on R4 in about half an hour, by Coach on Feb 22, 2010 19:39:45 GMT 1, I have just heard that Mark Lawson will be reviewing ETTGS on Front Row, on radio 4. I think it's at 7 pm tonight, but can no doubt be picked up again on listen again. Cheers c

Banksy on R4 in about half an hour, by cassiuslegrande on Feb 25, 2010 11:07:22 GMT 1,
Thanks for the link. I've not seen the film yet. But this interviewee/critic 'Bidisha' was the one the sounded a bit bitter to me. Even the interviewer Mark Lawson was surprised and overwhelmed that banksy had built a cinema, "something no other film maker had ever thought of" - seems incredible really!? Bidisha thought "it was nothing new - like any other pop up shop and smelt of money". Anybody who has ever created a pop-up anything will know how much hard work and effort it is and should generally be applauded for getting off their arses... My response to the 'smell of money' bit, is the problem with the world is most people who have money concentrate on accumulating it and then proceed to sit on it for their entire lives and never do 'anything good with it' or at least NEVER entertain people with it. Like the fella who designed the black and decker tool bench and then pissed of to jersey, he didn't invest in upcoming inventors i don't think! i for one don't begrudge banksy a penny of his cash, cause every few months he seems to splash it about and make things happen. Long live the people who make things happen as opposed to the people who only demean other people's attempts... ; )
