The most friendliest Artist.., by discoduster on Jan 22, 2010 14:38:54 GMT 1, I bought a print direct from Mysterious Al the other day and he included some free t-shirts and is generally a nice bloke.
Got me thinking who is the nicest artist out there..
My personal faves along with the above is...
James Cauty (Made me a cup of coffee whilst queing)
Fake (Took my mobile number to let me know where he was painting to)
Anyone else had some nice experiences?

Dan Baldwin and Beejoir are great to deal with, Adam Neate and Matt Small are great too.

The most friendliest Artist.., by samuraiwriter on Jan 22, 2010 15:43:54 GMT 1, Handiedan is an amazingly kind person. She showed my wife, friend and I around her atelier. Made us tea, gave us some very cool tips of places to visit in town, etc... Very, very kind woman.
Fake is also really chilled out and warm. He was super helpful and patient while guiding us to his studio via mobile, after we indulged a bit too much. He showed us around, explained his process, history, etc...
Have yet to meet Replete, but he is amazingly kind over the interwebz, super generous as well. His work is unreal, and totally unique.
Joshua Budich is also a gent. He dropped my wife and I a very nice email asking if we were well, after some very bad floods here in Istanbul this past fall. He also helped out the Mark Sandman (of Morphine fame) Music Project, which is very near and dear to me, by creating a fundraising print for the cause. The dude is tops in my book.
Chloe Early is very nice, she got us a buyers preview for her Stolen Space stuff, which was not wasted.

The most friendliest Artist.., by RPM on Jan 22, 2010 18:17:31 GMT 1, Just had the good fortune of meeting Jeremy Fish this past weekend at his Laguna Art Museum show. He took the time to sign a few items we brought, doodled a sketch in my sketchbook, and had a fairly nice chat with us despite the fact that others were in line behind us. Really made us feel as if we were the only ones in the room.
Futura was an extreme pleasure to meet. I bought one of his pointmen drawings at the Strategic Synchronicity show in L.A. and despite it being the most affordable piece in the entire show, he treated me as if I had just dropped a few hundred grand on his art. He even blew off a magazine that was trying to interview/photograph him so that we could take a photo. Great guy and it makes the piece that much more special.
Just met Saber last week when we took the framed canvas we own to have him etch a tag on the plexi. I know most people don't place plexi covers over a canvas, but (1) we have friends that can sometimes get a bit out of control and we wanted to avoid any drunken incidents, and (2) I envisioned him tagging the plexi to create a nice juxtaposition between the fine art and the gritty graffiti. He was a pleasure to meet and we spent a long time talking about art and life. Will post some photos at some point, but he tagged a nice large SABER AWR MSK on the plexi and we couldn't be more pleased. Turned out that he actually liked the framing idea as well, which made it even better.
A lot of younger, up and coming and not as well known artists have been a pleasure to meet/speak with - David Bray, Nathan De Young, Anthony Clarkson, Craww, Sarah Joncas, Flip. At the end of the day, I find that anytime an artist is truly appreciative and genuine, it makes me want to support them and I enjoy the pieces I own that much more.
Oh, and hands down the most awesomist (is that a word?) yet crazy, crackhead artist that you ever want to meet is David Choe. That guy rules. Not for everyone, but both my girlfriend and I could have spent days hanging out with that guy. He is one sick sonuvabitch!

The most friendliest Artist.., by mred on Jan 22, 2010 18:38:16 GMT 1, All the artists I deal with are great but that said I tend to stop dealing with anyone who isn't a pleasure to deal with.
Agree with some of the artists named above like Nick Walker, Mau Mau, Beejoir, SPQR, K-Guy and Grafter, all pleasure to deal with.
One person I really think deserves adding to the list, and imho should be close to the top of the list is Ripper1331. I have dealt with him 3 or 4 times and he is always a star whether it is going the extra mile, sorting something special or extra out or just being totally professional to deal with. Rise Ripper1331 ;D ;D ;D ;D

Agent Provocateur - One of my best friends who I have known for well over decade. Joseph Loughborough - Very talented guy and always a pleasure to deal with. Hush - Always great to catch up with when he's in the big smoke. Grafter - Down to earth and grounded chap, always a pleasure. Christian Guemy - A pleasure to deal with and a great guy to have a beer with.
Should probably add Oliver Winconek, Schlomo and Copyright who are great guys and always good to catch up with
