(R)Evolution of Urban Art WARRINGTON, by Cocteau 101 on Nov 27, 2009 11:01:34 GMT 1, Just a quick note to say if anyone is around the area go and see this exhibition. I was at the opening last night as the collection of art on show is privately owned by two of my friends. The museum and the guys have done a great job as have the students who have been involved in the project. It is beautifully laid out for a small provincial museum and the art looks simply stunning. The diversity of work make it even more interesting and as everybody seems to be back on the Parla trip there is a beautiful piece included in the exhibition.

(R)Evolution of Urban Art WARRINGTON, by Bram on Nov 27, 2009 11:27:33 GMT 1, I will second that, there has been a lot of thought gone into the presentation. A great place to visit if you newish to the scene as there is quite a broad representation of artist. Just make sure you allow enough time as the Micallef will draw you in like a magnet and not let go.
The people behind this project are very passionate about the pieces and artists and I think this comes through in the show.

(R)Evolution of Urban Art WARRINGTON, by spenie1975 on Nov 30, 2009 22:27:46 GMT 1, Went on Saturday, a nice little show. Not many people around to see this though. Loved the Neate OG. The Parla was amazing to see, having never seen an original before couldn't believe the texture on the piece. Now the Micallef was something else, felt like this was wasted tucked away in the corner. To me this should have been made more of a feature. A fantastic collection of work and hats off to the guys for showing this. Hope the museum gets more people through the doors with this exhibition. Felt sorry for the little shop with it's closing down sale so let my daughter spend 24p on some plastic frogs. Well worth the visit if you've not got far to travel.

(R)Evolution of Urban Art WARRINGTON, by Bram on Dec 17, 2009 11:11:23 GMT 1, That Elbow-Toe is truly is a brilliant piece. I counted 7 different colours around the eyes, I would have used 2 and that's why he's are hung in galleries and mine are hung in garages. Don't know if anyone has seen this but it goes a little way into the mechanics of his thought process.
