Scott Campbell - Always Almost There
Coming off the back of sell out shows and museum projects in his native USA, we are very excited to be welcoming Scott Campbell to show in Europe for the very first time. A world renowned tattoo artist, Scott brings the aesthetics of tattoo culture to the studio to create works which point towards the desire to memorialize through iconography, often using 100-deep stacks of 1-dollar bills with layers carved away to reveal an image within the currency. Also featured in the show is a series of collages which play on the urge to commemorate through symbolism; and the random narrative that is created when they coexist.
The show opens 2nd October at SHOP at Lazarides, 8 Greek Street, Soho, London W1D 4DG.
