try fastlane couriers
they seem to be the most reasonable when shipping from uk to usa and they offer an import service or fedex groundservice but it takes ages

Also, I can't remember whether it's express or priority service, but at least one of them is registered (signed for) and insured. Plus with Fedex and/or UPS, I reckon the chances of customs catching you are probably greater (I've always paid taxes and fees with those 2 and never with USPS so far - touch wood).

Shipping from usa to uk...help please, by mash on Apr 15, 2009 0:20:24 GMT 1, its only insured for the value stated at time of shipping, customs wise there is two ways that i know to circumvent them, firstly say its a return of faulty goods, and two a return of personal property in both these cases you can state full value and not get stung by customs.
