Boris: Congestion Charge Cancelled, by topper007 on Feb 2, 2009 16:55:05 GMT 1, No doubt you will be shot down (and me with you now) but I agree.
He's right on this one too. I spent a couple of hours getting to work (all of 5 miles away) this morning but there would have been little excuse not to go.
Frankly this much snow briniging a capital city to a halt just wouldn't be tolerated in countries that suffer this sort of weather every year.
Of course this has sod all to do with art unless people can't make the Urban Angel show later this week (grasping at very thin straws for a link......)

Boris: Congestion Charge Cancelled, by Happy Shopper on Feb 2, 2009 16:59:22 GMT 1, No congestion charge today! Big deal. Will only help the dozen or so drivers silly enough to drive on the icey roads! What would actually help is getting the gritting lorries to do their job properly so the f@ยฃking buses were working.
First time in the history of London that the buses have been canceled, and it's not even the worst weather. Well done Boris!

So the roads are properly iced over, and still idiots think they can drive. Normally I'd ride a choice of 2 wheelers, but today I walked to the tube (long delays blah)2 hours to get to work as opposed to 40 minute ride. Boris = Tory = c0ck.
Nothing beats a sweeping generalisation ;D
It is a pisstake though that we can't cope with a couple of inches of snow... that and the media going mad over Ross/Brand or Ramsay swearing etc

Boris: Congestion Charge Cancelled, by slowmo on Feb 2, 2009 22:26:35 GMT 1, Locally Boris has bemused me. He decided to re-open the blackwall tunnel lane shut by Ken (+1). However he has since cancelled 5 projects to improve south Londons links to the city centre (-10).
Bloke is a north London lover (should try and remember where his office is once in a while), cares only for the headline and always insists on apologising in a jokey way. I cannot understand how under Livingstone the roads around me (I live between 3 main approaches to the blackwall tunnel, if you're outside London, think of it as a jugular) were always heavily gritted on any weather warning under Livingstone. Yet it started snowing in Greenwich yesterday at 2pm and no gritters arrived till this morning, after rush hour.
No trains, 1 tube driving from North Greenwich to London Bridge and back and breaking down regularly and no buses (fair enough I stayed away from the DLR). With further cut backs planned on transport, I hate the day others voted for the young Jimmy saville.

Boris: Congestion Charge Cancelled, by low3 on Feb 3, 2009 1:05:09 GMT 1, Got to say i fookin love Boris.
Mad as a box of frogs. Did anyone see his tackle on the German in that charity football match?!
It astounds me that someone who comes across as a bit of an idiot has got to where he has. Does make you wonder if it's all an act......
Having said that, being in Manchester he has absolutely no impact on my life whatsoever!!
