Online Raffle, by stender on Jan 8, 2009 20:53:49 GMT 1, I was thinking of raffling a print with the money going to charity but can't think of a way to do it online? Can anyone think of a way to do an online raffle?
Problem being you need proof of the draw.

Online Raffle, by Heavyconsumer on Jan 8, 2009 21:03:54 GMT 1, You may want to send PMs off to either Harveyn (who can advise on using ebay) or Mike Marcus (who is using a Paypal only system). Good luck and nice thought.

You could send all entries to a third party i.e. a well know and respected member of this forum who'd be willing to do the draw on your behalf. That way you are void of being accused of any wrong doing. Just make sure you are VERY clear in regards to how much money you have raised/donating to the chosen charity and that the charity can confirm receipt of payment.
What you're proposing to do is a very generous offer but I'd advise you to cover all bases. And keep all raffle ticket buyers in the know of how you're getting on etc.
You may also want to look at any legal implications as I don't think it's as straight forward as you may wish

Online Raffle, by littlewhisper on Jan 8, 2009 22:54:24 GMT 1, Doing an online raffle is quite costly and involves quite abit of red tape, you will have to get permission from the gambling commission UNLESS its small scale and not online and you can see your local licensing authority...... an auction is loads easier and less red tape.
