Both are favourites of mine for differing reasons.

Morons or the rats. Even my nan has read about "banksy calling the people who buy his art morons" stuff in the papers and she's 80++ so i imagine many more lay people have too.
ps. her words and not mine..

Which entry level Banksy?, by BME on Mar 26, 2008 0:15:32 GMT 1, From the choices given I'd take the Love Rat- classic and very recognisable Banksy. I'd also suggest that you think about an Applause though. Huge image and very striking.

Which entry level Banksy?, by dave313perry on Mar 26, 2008 0:26:51 GMT 1, I think it depends on where you want to put it and your reasons for buying. i like my prints to fit in the surroundings.
alot of the images we talk of are quite strong and controversial in message and content so think its important to place them wisely to have the desired impact, also when placing two together. The legend and legacy of Cbl's Grannies and J&J strike me as a good pairing placed in a perfect environment!!!
peace

Which entry level Banksy?, by Coach on Mar 26, 2008 0:35:00 GMT 1, cnd soldiers was my first. great message, great humour. real stencil feel, even tho' a print. looks great in the flesh. wanted a print that was taken from a street image. it's also more affordable than a lot of others - i guess cos it's not so desirable, but i love it.

Which entry level Banksy?, by ratboy on Mar 26, 2008 11:18:21 GMT 1, Out of interest, how much do the unsigned prints sell for when released on POW? Stop and search was £525 signed - how much cheaper was the unsigned?
I'd love a CND print or the Love Rat - these were going for £1500 buy it now recently on ebay. Is that more expensive than they'd go on auction?

i love cnd. how much does this tend to go for unsigned?

Unsigned trolleys and morons were both £250. Flag was £100. I think applause was £300 from memory although that is a huge print. Grannies I think was £200. I suspect they will keep prices of the unsigned around the same for the rest of the LA series.

It was CBL's Grannies and Jack and Jill pairing that inspired me to get both prints together. They work so well together.
I'd go for a mint condition Flag print myself as it's pretty much my favourite Banksy print although, have to say I'm not a fan of the gold version which is just as well as I could never afford one. It would be closely followed by Grannies and then Love Rat then Trolleys with Morons last. I think Applause is great but it's such a massive print, you need a big space to put it up.

Signed was £150 for nearly all of those. Flying Copper was a bit more (£175?). Earlier ones (Bomb Middle England / RC / HC / HAND / LIITA) were originally £30 / £100.
