Grand Total £8213.03 - Mercy Centre Foundation, by speebe on Nov 8, 2008 22:56:23 GMT 1, how about Beejoir sells the LV statues on here so the money goes to The Mercy Centre as the link someone posted shows the online gallery/shop (fuss something) taking 50%. Greedy f**kers.
The cut that this site are taking matches the one Leonard St were going to take, I imagine that if the powers that be thought they could sell direct and get someone to manage the whole process they would??
The only issue regarding this sale is the number of people who didn't get their original orders (black or gold), despite paying in advance and all because of L-St had these details and that couldn't be liberated along with the statues... and if those original buyers want one now they'll have to buy again from this new site.
Regardless of the checkered history and potential margins, the winner is the Mercy Centre, which is the main point eh!

Grand Total £8213.03 - Mercy Centre Foundation, by wiz on Nov 8, 2008 23:01:32 GMT 1, I understand your point Speebe, there are those however who lost a whole lot more with TLSG than the cost of a statue with no chance of recompense, its just a lesson in life, i get your point though all the same.

Yeah, I know. Those punters who lost a few pounds when some artists were hung out for 10's of thousands, and many of those artists in question go out of their way to see that the charity comes first, they have my utmost respect.
Karma up to the hilt.
Those artists burnt by this experience could have wallowed in pity or decided to get even, but instead they become more generous! The most thoughtful of souls involved, it gives me a warm feeling just buying my tickets and knowing my faith in humanity has been restored.

Grand Total £8213.03 - Mercy Centre Foundation, by Harveyn on Nov 10, 2008 14:33:11 GMT 1, I will be sending an email out today/tomorrow to everyone who purchased a ticket explaining the raffle process. It takes forever to pull the email addresses off Paypal!!!!
Basically it will take place next Saturday in Bangkok and will be drawn by one of the children from the appeal.
Chris (Beejoir) will be assisting with the draw in Bangkok and press shots will be taken. I have also brought Charlene McNabb (Foundation Secretary for the Human Development & Children Foundation) up to speed with the results to date. Charlene will be auditing my Ebay and Paypal accounts when the process is finished along with are very own Pez.
In the mean time there are 7 hours to go on the first set of single auctions so please get bidding.
Regards Neil

Hi, I just read what people were saying so thought i'd try and clarify the situation.
We are giving 50% of RRP to Charity and at the same time trying to run a business, so didn't take too kindly to being called "Greedy f**kers" Beejoir & The Mercy Centre lost a lot of money when TLSG went down so we are just trying to get back a little of what was lost. We have also lowered the price that they were sold at last time round so people will be more inclined to help out a great cause.
Thanks

Ignore the ebay withdrawals. The auctions had to be started three times due to Ebay T&Cs. Unless you got a reversal from Paypal then you are in the draw..... ;D ;D ;D
