Oh no, not again, by bored with screen names on Jun 5, 2008 18:14:34 GMT 1, Faile are going to sell their small editions and originals via lottery again.
You'd prefer having 100 people submit orders for originals only to have 99 of them refunded? Sort of like a lottery in itself (only those with those reported scripting programs probably would have some sort of advantage)
Perhaps I'm biased because I won one last time, but I'm all for this mixed system.

I'm not a fan of any system which isn't 100% transparent to the potential buyers.

how is faile's way different than the lotteries fuss ship, s-editions and others run? Especially as the later lotteries are done by hand rather than technology and are more susceptible to manipulation? just curious is all.

I don't know how the fairq system works, but it's not outside the realms of possibility that technology can't be manipulated either.
I'm not accusing Faile of anything here, and I'm sure that, were I to win the chance to buy something, I would love the lottery system. ;D However, all lottery systems make me squeamish. I don't feel that I am ever entitled to a print - I would just like a fair shot at it.

Oh no, not again, by bert on Jun 5, 2008 18:46:59 GMT 1, IMO - Banging the F5 key is just as much of a lottery, so an actual lottery is far more preferable for me - takes all the stress out of it!

The details aren't sorted out yet. Sign up to the Faile newsletter, and they'll send the details later this month.

Oh no, not again, by seidbereit on Jun 5, 2008 21:01:25 GMT 1, Everytime I look at the Faile site my firefox window automatically minimises (i.e. gets smaller - not sure if thats the correct term) same happens on explorer. Does this happen to anyone else? It drives me mad.

Oh no, not again, by pezlow on Jun 5, 2008 21:12:49 GMT 1, Happens to me to seid.
Re the lottery I used to be against them. But now I feel that so many people have F5'ing software it isn't really a level playing field for those people who, like me, don't.

Oh no, not again, by jones27 on Jun 6, 2008 10:50:41 GMT 1, how much do you reckon the new buy now print will be ? I reckon $1500, along the same lines as the recent (and much underated) 'Faile Knows' release.
