Why is this ebay seller insistent I send a cheque?, by Neate Michael on Jun 4, 2008 15:46:46 GMT 1, As some of you know I was pretty desperate for a Geisha Girl last week... So I contacted this seller: cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280233023540
I so far have got a £200 discount, IF i pay by cheque...
Should I be worried?

I would be worrying more if they asked for cash or western union transfer.

I'm just not sure I want the print bad enough to give her a £350 profit, particularly when it is likely she was a queue pusher inner...

At risk of starting the boring queue diaries again, they didn't push into our line, the queue went (as you looked at the door) to the left... They all bundled in from the right... I was mid queue and so would have had to bundle to the front to control the pushing in, and really didn't fancy it. Far more English to stand there and grumble!

Graeme, you are possibly harder than I, but there was no pushing in, they simply started their own renegade queue at the front... I was mid queue. Anyway, this is all (rain) water under the bridge. It's done - it's over...

I was mid queue, so clearly harder in appearance than the other 14 guys in front of me! As it turns out, we'd not have got a red one but a blue geisha would have been just as nice.

Yes there was more of us. I tried to instigate a revolution but we were too British.

I have a tendency to tell people the truth regardless of size, hardness ect, i had a pop @ a aussie woman at cans who was shouting her mouth off in front of my kid.
I must agree though its in no ones interests to let people jump the line & a collective FUCK OFF would probably help somewhat.
Its also worth being aware with todays culture that someone could easily pull a knife on you though!

Exactly... It is ONLY a print. A desirable lovely print that I would have framed and hung on my wall and loved very much. But I have others and doubtless at some stage a print will be released that I like as much as the Geisha Girl and then I will try and buy that (if no queues are involved).
