I DO fully agree with bad / crap DJs being boo'd off though... Sankeys in Manchester booked Zane Lowe once for the upstairs (2nd) room... he was boo'd off after about 20 minutes and deserved to be

Were they booing that Hyphy stuff he did on the last album? I would never condone booing someone at a gig, but that Bay area stuff was terrible. Have to say Kid Koala (who supported) was in a different league. That bloke has got some technique

Donovan was on as support, he only lasted a few bars before the glow-stick missiles rained down on him. I think he only played for 2 or 3 songs in the end, which was fine by me

Yeah, I think the crowd looked just like they were out for the evening to dance, and were not really interested in his music

dj shadow & cut chemist , by Sliding on the Walls on Mar 17, 2008 14:09:54 GMT 1, I was at that gig in Bournemouth too, and to be honest it was what I expected of a Bournemouth crowd. I felt for Chris James (The lead singer from Stateless who did a few collabs with Shadow) because he seemed to get the majority of boos. Personally I think Stateless are a very underated band, and i'd rather listen to those collabs than the more 'gangsta' tracks on the album.
The place wasn't that busy either as I recall

Yeah, I was very impressed with Stateless and Chris James ;D it was great that when they had done their bit on stage they came into the crowd to watch the rest of the show
BTW we were right at the front on the left oh! did you see those kids doing breakdancing at the back?

I'm looking for a Gloaming picture disc (Dick Cheney's head!) actually if anyone has one they could sell to me? Thanks
See y'all there at the next Shadow London gig! Whenever that may be...

dj shadow & cut chemist , by artstylee on Mar 22, 2008 2:38:28 GMT 1, Saw this post and thought you guys might like seeing a print related DJ shadow item.
Number 91 of 100 for the Keith Tamashiro Benefit in LA in 2006. Believe the work is by Brandon or Brandy Flowers of LA's Otis Art College USA California.
Amazing show. One of the last Jurrassic 5 shows, but they performed without Cut Chemist only DJ Numark on the turntables.
Think prints were about 30 bucks each. There were only 25-30 left of the 100 to choose from when I got to them(I was 30-40th inside), and oddly enough I didn't see anybody carrying around the print but me. Probably gave one to each artists who came out to perform for free. or sold before show as well to raise funds. But everybody who bought a ticket got a T-Shirt with the poster image on it, CD's and a bunch of goodies in a promo bag.
Shadow and Cut Chemist ripped their classic Product Placement mix in front of a small crowd who paid I believe it was 75 or 85 a ticket.
