About 12" x 18" I usually just use paper for my really detailed stencils. Therefore, they tend to be used only once. For more simple designs (like the dog I posted a few days ago) card stock is great.

Can you tell me how you got from the picture to the stencil? Do you photoshop to simplify the colours or do it by eye? I'd be really interested if possible. Cheers for sharing.
