my kid could paint that, by Deleted on Jan 31, 2008 1:57:42 GMT 1, just picked up a leaflet for my local cinema. theres an advert for a film called' my kid could paint that'. below is the text from the advert.
in 2004, four year old Marla Olmstead became anart world sensation when a gallery in her home town of Binghamton,New York, devoted a solo show to her abstract paintings. Soon collectors were lauding her and paying up to $15000 a canvas, but when a news frenzy ensued and doubt arose as to the real creator of the paintings, some began to question wether this'pint sized Pollock' was a genuine prodigy or just a pawn of ambitious parents and a manipulative market. a shrewd and fascinatingstudy of family life, media manipulation and the explotive nature of documentary film.
anyone seen it? any good?

my kid could paint that, by laing on Jan 31, 2008 12:40:39 GMT 1, There was an article in one of the Sunday papers magazines not long before Christmas. It made out that there is a big question over the authenticity of the paintings. There was a question raised that the father directed and even helped with the paintings. In the documentary it apparently shows her painting on her own and the end result is nowhere near the same level of detail or quality as the ones that are produced behind closed doors....
