Framing Question, by manchestermike on Jan 31, 2008 13:34:30 GMT 1, I got my Adam Neate skateboard in a swap a bit ago, and it's the only think I have framed by John Jones and the framing is great... what I want to know though is how they frame it so you can see absolutely no join at the corners of the frame...

Let me know how you get on Mike, was thinking about placing it in Gary's trusting hands as I have some of his perspex work and its great, was thinking 5 perspex sides with a black backing.

Framing Question, by alsbabar on Jan 31, 2008 13:46:20 GMT 1, hey MM, i was down at John Jones today, and funny enough they mentioned your framing - said it was a great piece.
Out of interest how much did you pay for the framing?

Haven't seen any of their frames so this is pure speculation on my part. Make the frame in good quality untreated wood, grain filler and finish with a spray gun. That's how I'd do it.

Pretty much spot on - However, forgot to mention the time & patience involved, which is why they cost so much!

Hi mate... it's fantastically done. I actually swapped it fully framed so it didn't cost me at source... Think it was about £500 though
Going to get my two new Neate street pieces done in perspex I think...
