Update! NYC Lost Graffiti Ark History, by Guest on Jan 16, 2008 23:45:25 GMT 1, Boy it's funny how the art-world has attached themselves to the graffiti and street art world. They're just plain making stuff up now!
I guess it just goes to show who writes our collective history, or in this case, tries to!!!
f**k those curators, museums, and other people who wouldn't give any of these guys the time of day 20 years ago. Now just because it's "de rigeur" to love Graffiti, everyone's all about it.
Hang tight everyone. It's not time to sell out just yet! They are just getting started with this great art-world appropriation of the true people's art.
I've been feeling kind of bummed about the Banksy's on ebay, and all that stuff, (as I know alot of people here were), but this brings a smile to my face...
oh, and yes, Jamie O'Shea IS the bomb. One of the only blogs worth reading.
