...with Hiscox you wont need to name any items unless over ยฃ25K as they specialise on high value insurance...not cheap though.

Insurance, by spenie1975 on Dec 21, 2007 13:17:56 GMT 1, Try Home and Legacy, the policy is called portfolio and available through most agents or insurance brokers. The policy includes a fine art clause. The description of this is anything that is of a collectable nature, the cover also recognises loss of value due to damage and also incorporates an up lift feature. They will pay the increase in value if lost or stolen. Items only need to be listed if over ยฃ 15k. this is a buildings and contents policy that replaces your existing and not stand alone art insurance. Premiums are not to expensive for the levels of cover given.
Hope this helps.

Insurance, by rob on Dec 21, 2007 14:03:23 GMT 1, Thanks guys. My current insurers Zurich didn't want to know and Hiscox wouldn't cover me either. They wouldn't insure someone with about 5K general cover and 20 odd Banksy's...
I managed to sort it through Brownhill Brokers for ยฃ446 per year with ยฃ175K and no single item limit cover.
At least I have peace of mind now.... Thanks again.
