Business Cards..., by funster on Dec 18, 2007 14:27:46 GMT 1, Ok, sorry this isn't Banksy or art related.
Does anyone know where to get top notch business cards made, preferably foiled too. I'm not talking about Staples 'do it yourself' cards but American Physco "egg shell white" cards. I've been looking around for ages so any help would be appreciated

I had my business cards done by www.aubergineprint.co.uk/ via a local printer, full colour one side, (two sides available) matt laminated, quick turnaround, very good job, I'd recommend, although I think it's a trade only service but perhaps you could go through a local printer.

Business Cards..., by scoote on Dec 18, 2007 17:43:57 GMT 1, R.e. aubergine, they are the cheapest to use, although they would not be able to print it on a choice of your stock, nor I doubt would they be able to foil-it. This is because they do large composite workings of all different business cards in one pass, thus keeping the price down. May I suggest that you find a local printer with an SRA3 press, source the stock yourself by blagging samples from GF Smith or any of the paper merchants, Fedrigoni do a nice range too. To avoid the mark up on the foiling as not many printers do it in house go direct for this as well. Try Foilworks in Northampton or F.R.I.P in Hinckley.

They're a very oldschool printer (Letterpress, Engraved, Thermographed, Flat print, Embossed etc.). They'll basically do anything.... for a price! Stunning quality.

I love that you referenced American Pyscho. That's Possibly one of the all time greatest movies! Christian Bale is fucking amazing in that role, fucking amazing.

Business Cards..., by leehambly on Dec 19, 2007 10:40:20 GMT 1, vistaprint.com I have used in the past with no probs
I second Vistaprint... nice interface for uploading images and checking out the look of the card. They do foil and if you are sneaky and lucky, as I was, they start sending you offers as soon as you start uploading stuff... I waited about 2 weeks between the first offer (something like 10% off) until the final offer which was to basically just pay for the postage! I got 250 two sided, full colour for something silly like ยฃ7.00... was supposed to get a free metal card case thrown in to, but seems to have gotten lost in the post, not gonna shout too loudly about it.. not really my bag anyway... think I would have self-harmed if I had actually found myself using it.. so all good in the end.
