How to tell and orginal... Help needed, by hupster on Dec 19, 2007 17:03:53 GMT 1, I have been offered the pulp fiction Banksy print but i need help onhow to tell or what to look for to ensure i am not being ripped off.....Please can someone help me on this one before i buy a very pricey piece of paper and not an orginal.

Click on the pulp fiction print and all the information is there about numbering, stamps etc. make sure you have provenance and try and see it before you buy. Good Luck

If it isn't numbered its back door and avoid. If it is numbered, but no provenence (basically a receipt or confirmation from POW) it is possible to tell if legit, but is more difficult. There are backdoor prints out there of PF so be careful

1/ the seller is keen to sell ? so they'll be keen to help.
if they are not - wonder why.
2/ prov - what is the number of the print ? and who is the orig
owner ?
check this with pow.
3/ think positive and wait until you hear the results.
4/ do not buy on a whim - you might have a rude awakening
a print with no prov.. ARGH. is one you may have problems selling
if you need to in future - wife / girlfriend / boyfriend ? doesn't
like etc the list is endless.
5/ chances of what you're being offered in print land that it's
an orig are slim - at best 
(unless it's a neate street piece which by def has no prov)
