Tube Bar - Bristol, by misteraitch on Nov 27, 2007 22:03:33 GMT 1, Anyone know what this bar is like?
I've been asked to submit a piece for their walls, and while any publicity is good publicity, I've never heard of the place or the guy that runs it and his email has come out of the blue.
Seeing as there's a fair few of you on here from Brizzle your opinions would be welcomed.
Thanks Guys

Tube Bar - Bristol, by letthemhang on Nov 27, 2007 22:34:57 GMT 1, It's a good little club. Owned by an assortment of Bristol veterans over the years, it's currently in John Stapleton's hands - compiler of the classic 'Dope On Plastic' comps, 45 specialist, and all round legend in our town. The walls were originally Jamie Hewletts (some of his work is still up I think) so you'll be in good company. And we also sometimes DJ.

Tube Bar - Bristol, by buddings on Nov 28, 2007 20:16:20 GMT 1, Situated in the heart of Bristol, just off the base of Park Street, the Bristol's busiest street for independent music and clothes shopping.
The decor inside is rich and warming. All leather seating and old-wood coffee tables. It has an expertly designed bar with a carefully selected range of spirits, wines and beers.
We boast one of the finest sound-systems in Bristol, the walls covered in flat paneled speakers, which in turn are covered in canvases from some of Britain's most exciting artists, such as Jamie Hewlett (Gorillaz), Banksy and Insect (P.O.W).
A small dance-floor is situated to the rear of the bar, with a raised DJ booth.
WHO WE ARE////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Bristol's renowned musical sons Massive Attack have joined forces with the city's audio impresarios BlowPop and the former management from the legendary Arc Bar.
Our aim is to create an attractive environment, offering fine food and drink, while playing host to underground graffic artists and musicians. We hope you like it too.
