Something different and unique thus far in this sphere... and priced just right for the market...
Don't buy if you don't like...

How does it look/work in peoples homes without the lighting/surroundings of a gallery - unless its harveyn & you live in a gallery! Ha!

exactly my feelings T - what was the edition number on these as there is a fair few hitting the market again, maybe the realisation of spending 1.2k on a ltd edition is kicking in!

dface lenticolour at cost , by jfury on Nov 29, 2007 15:33:53 GMT 1, when I first looked at it at BRP I thought it was in a lightbox and even asked someone if it lights up!!......then when got closer it was obviously lit extremely well. I think the difference between that and having it your home will be massive....IMO anyway ....but if someone loves it its defo a fair deal

dface lenticolour at cost , by jynormous on Nov 29, 2007 15:35:51 GMT 1, They actually cost much more to make than you would imagine.
I think the markup would be very small at best for D*Face and the BRP guys.#
More of a "peoples" print rather than a money maker.

How much do you think a Giclee costs to produce compared to one of these

A mate of mine does them and has produced a few for me, the really nice heavy cotton rich acid free paper costs ยฃ100 for a 10 metre roll which is 1ยฝ metres wide, so the roll could produce about 40 prints max therefore paper = <ยฃ3 then you've got the cost of the ink (about ยฃ600 for a set) the payments on your printer (which costs around ยฃ10,000) plus labour (at least ยฃ25 per hour) electric, premises, business tax etc so involving everything it's too tricky for me to work out.
If you had all the kit and put your own time into it I reckon the paper and ink would come to well less than ยฃ10.
