Ok, I'm well up for that. How do you get in the after party and where do you have to get ticket from?

Anyone going to "Bomb it", by stillborncrisps on Nov 24, 2007 1:43:39 GMT 1, Saw this tonight at the BFI Preview Launch and have to say it's a MUST SEE for everyone on here. Shows the history & differences between all the major graff cities of the world really well, and there's tonnnnnnnnes of interviews. Of all the UK peeps ISTR Arofish and Inkie making personal appearances. There may have been a couple more.
Outside before the show I met Blek le Rat and Chaz (of London Police) - both really nice guys - adding to a joint piece started earlier by Inkie and SickBoy. It was all very chilled (and f**king freeeeezing!). Didn't have my camera but loads of others were taking pics so get searching on Flickr to see the finished piece.
Seriously - go see this docu at the first opportunity you get.

I still can't feel my hands from the cold but it was worth standing around freezing for. :-)

Anyone going to "Bomb it", by romanywg on Nov 24, 2007 10:42:56 GMT 1, I went along too and was dissapointed. Interesting for 30 minutes but 93, I don't think so. Cut too fast to a hip hop sound track just did my eyes in, never staying on a shot long enough for it to register. One interesting story about a guy in Sao Paulo who bombed in the sewers and where no one actually saw his work, very moving, but tag upon tag upon tag to me just looks a total mess. Street art has moved on so much from those days and it seemed old and dated.

Anyone going to "Bomb it", by stillborncrisps on Nov 24, 2007 22:45:40 GMT 1, Did you get any pics of the artwork going on outside Romanywg? I went down today to get a shot and all the panelling's been taken down!
Agreed about not staying on shots, but for me that's ok coz I can study a book for that. For me this was telling an interesting story and opening my eyes up to how the scene works worldwide. Before I saw this I didn't realise there was so much difference in writers' attitudes & motivations from country to country.
My only neg would be that subtitles were used instead of voice overs for the foreign interviews, which made it hard to concentrate on the visuals coz you were reading the words. But then there's the flip-side that people should be able to speak in their own voice on film, so it's horses for courses I guess. :-)

Anyone going to "Bomb it", by romanywg on Nov 25, 2007 0:22:19 GMT 1, I was going to go back up next week to take pics of the wall, I did have my cameras with me but it was too dark. Taken down already? What a waste. Saw Blek carting round a massive portfolio.
