I was in Dublin at the weekend...., by seidbereit on Nov 21, 2007 10:01:26 GMT 1, and got dragged into a shop (Urban Outfitters in Temple Bar) by my girlfriend when I spotted what looked like a collection of prints hanging up over a record shop-type area in one corner of the building. I was right - loads of really nice pictures (with various prints also for sale) including a signed Grin Reaper and Laugh Now, and an unsigned Turf War. Have to admit though his GR was a bit on the tatty side (framed behind glass but loads of dents and creases visible - pity).
I had a great chat with the chap behind the counter about all things printed and painted and hardly felt the hour it took for my girlfriend to find a pair of jeans passing by at all. Extremely friendly, if you're ever in Dublin I recommend you have a look in.

Most of the collectable stuff just said POA on it but when I asked he just gave what he thought the banksy stuff was worth in his opinion (around 18k EUR for the LNM and 6k EUR for the GR) when I pointed out all the damage on his GR he kind of backed down saying they weren't strictly up for sale but rather part of his private collection. Stopped short of asking him whether LNM was dry-mounted (which it looked like it might be). We spoke more about various artists and his future plans than about money as he's only started selling prints recently. He seems to be more concentrated on prints by Irish artists naturally enough (e.g. Will St. Leger, and the like) although the collection he has hanging up seems to include great pieces by a whole shedload of different artists.
