Improvements: Gallery Section, by ร

By popular request, Silky and I are thinking of the best way to start a Gallery section where members can show off their collection and frame jobs, and also where other members can draw inspiration from!
We would like you members to vote on one of these two options:
1) Eliminating text from Part I: We shall cut down the entire thread (all 50 pages of it - yikes!) to pictures only. All comments/compliments will be removed, making it easier to browse through.
2) Starting a pictures-only Gallery section: We shall start a fresh sub-board (perhaps sub-categorized by Artist within), and request all members to post their pictures (pictures only, strictly no text) in the appropriate sections. Members who have already posted their pictures in "Get your Banksys out... (Part 1)" will be requested to re-post their pride and joy in this new gallery for all to enjoy.
The current "Get your BANKSY'S out... (Part II)" thread will remain as it is, so that people can still post their pictures there and get comments/feedback/compliments/questions answered. Members can post their pictures in both sections simultaneously if they wish to. That way, members who want to browse the comments/feedback/compliments/questions can do so, while members who prefer to browse the pictures only can go to the new Gallery pictures-only section. Something for everybody! ;D
If Option 1 is voted for, then when the time comes for Part II to close and Part III to be started, we will trim down Part II to pictures-only just as we did in Part I.
If Option 2 is voted for, then the original "Get your Banksys... (Part 1)" thread will be immortalized as it is, comments and all. The Gallery will be a new section.

I can see it too. Sometimes the server chews up the images - just refresh and it should be fine!

Yep andrewd - if option 2 is chosen, then the existing "Get Your Banksys out..." threads will remain unchanged and immortalized, comments and all. The Gallery will be a totally new and separate section

My only gripe with the current "Get Your Banksys out..." thread(s) is when people quote the image, and on a single page we are getting duplicates of the same image over and over again. Minor gripe though.

AgentBacardi & Silky... I have made a condensed BANKSY PICS ONLY thread... hopefully, people will respect it and only post Banksy framed images in there.
Hopefully AgentBacardi's new "Get your Banksy's out for the lads part II" thread will become the thread for posting pics and then people commenting on them... we can then add the standalone pics to the new "BANKSY GALLERY THREAD"
