There's a MTN solvent product - has anyone used it successfuly?

Best way to clean clogged caps??, by Replete on Aug 31, 2008 19:38:57 GMT 1, the mtn declogger does work but your better off just soaking them in a jar of acetone like I do. And do the turning it upside down and blasting out the cap as it also keeps the valve in the can working properly.
I've got loads of different ways to get caps working again bu it'd take too long to list them.

What's acetone? How long do you leave them in there?

Best way to clean clogged caps??, by Replete on Aug 31, 2008 23:29:50 GMT 1, it's a solvent often found in paint thinners and the longer you leave it the better chance of the cap unclogging. But around a couple of days usually does the trick.

That's what I was trying to avoid, dmf (as per my original post). It's not the cost, more the waste.

He wears a toupee and glues it to his head. ;D, however it looks just like a toupee glued to a chaps head.He used to use the proper glue of course but he is lazy and runs out of it, so now he uses contact adhesive, thing is he has to place it on spot on first time because its instant you see!, when he gets it wrong its v funny but he just wears a hat for a couple of days.

Best way to clean clogged caps??, by Replete on Sept 1, 2008 17:13:37 GMT 1, quite true I can imagine stencil artists dont want a sputterer especially in a quick illegal spray up.
Whereas my favourite nozzles are those lovely coughing caps hacking up their paint infected lungs just like me their user;}
For those not in the know a partially clogged cap is when some paint remains coated to the inside of a previously used cap modifying the paint flow resulting in either a lessened paint flow or a spattering paint effect often referred to as mottling.
