sorted, by rperry on May 17, 2011 18:27:58 GMT 1, Thanks for the link. Very cool story...
Jus: Exactly the reason for my question, the average price of unsigned is $442. I have never seen an artist bother to dedicate and write on the verso but NOT bother to sign the print.
So does the artist's hand on the print make a difference. Also, it is aside from the edition of 400 as it is not numbered, putting it in AP status.
I think both make it a pretty rare print as only 2 were given away to the winners. But not sure if that translates into dollars. Obviously it didn't on ebay.

Indeed! Well done that man!
Sadly it's missing most of the images
Great quote from the winner (i think)
Flew down on a 6:00 a.m. flight today to eBay, Paypal, and Google headquarters in San Jose and Mountain View, California under the guise of an interviewee for a developer position.

You proved yourself it's worth $487 or am i totally missing the point here??

sorted, by Brushstrokes 75 on May 17, 2011 19:21:54 GMT 1, Tricky question but dedication as always been a big question. Different opinions, some people think the give the print more value (especially if the person who got the print is famous), usually it doesn't change anything or people have the opposite opinion (unless they bear the same name! lol).
Funny story got offered some print from a major artist yesterday by an old collector who trimmed the dedication in the margin at the bottom of the page.
Anyway, I wouldn't regard it as signed print but dedicated & an HC (or gift print was people call it here) rather than an AP.
It's great print none the less!

sorted, by rperry on May 17, 2011 19:54:51 GMT 1, Thanks Brush, exactly the feedback I was looking for.
I had a similar situation, I have a Rauschenberg print that was a gift from a Beverly Hills event. The print was dedicated (and signed) to an actor , but first name only, so after a bottle of wine one night shortly after I bought it I crossed out the name and wrote in my own... I hoped that Bob wouldn't mind
