Clearout Sale :, by rperry on Jun 6, 2011 23:17:15 GMT 1, LOL Zim, I see you got some of those Dali's before Albert Field I did the same at a local auction $500 for a signature. But at least the sig was real, the pic was fake tho... You have to give it up to Dali to have the most original fakes.
BTW great price on the Bookplate Chagall (From Arabian Night Suite) those are worth quite a bit more than asking price. Great for a kid's room.

Clearout Sale :, by Brushstrokes 75 on Jun 6, 2011 23:22:25 GMT 1, As I said, it's from the days I started, I was 15 or 16 years old . I got burnt in the beginning, but you got to learn as they say. Nice experience though & some nice quality repro IMO. (All are on arches paper not on glossy poster paper).

Clearout Sale :, by kalm on Jun 7, 2011 0:43:15 GMT 1, I would be down for a trade of some kind...are any of the signatures real? Or any actual show prints? I LOVE those Chillida's Dali #2 or ANY Dali Suite (2 shown are beautiful) Picasso Portrait de Femme Gongora Chagall Invitation Folder
And the LAM looks like the Caulder and vice versa! What's that Caulder signature? Looks like H. Matisse
What are you looking for?

Clearout Sale :, by Brushstrokes 75 on Jun 7, 2011 7:30:59 GMT 1, kalm lol for the Calder/Matisse
Didn't realize but it's just that when I tool the picture the Calder sheet was over the Matisse (pic number one).
Dali 1 & Dali suite are non official reprints (up to my knowledge) with a facsimile signature Chillida set is legit (there are exhibition poster for the opening of a museum in Cuenca, Spain) Chagall Invitation is 100% legit (I'll try to get you a pic unfolded) Gongora portrait is a later autorized reprint ('reprint of the portfolio)
All of them are unsigned per say. The signatures are facsimile for the Dalis & in the plate for the Chillida & Calder.
I never ever asked for COA even now. I got fooled like everyone else in the beginning. Some sent fake ones of course (the golden one lol).
But COA isn't necesarry or doesn't hold any value anyway unless it's from the artists fondation who usually don't care about prints. Not having a COA on an Original by a famous artist might be a little bit more difficult for resale though. For prints, major artists prints are usually well referenced & documented so a torough inspection (when you start to know the craft) will prevent you from buying 99% of fakes.
PMd you if we can work out something!
