Rudimentary Perfection- Graffuturism at Recoat, by RecoatGallery on Jul 1, 2011 15:42:08 GMT 1, We open Rudimentary Perfection tonight, a 10 man show focusing on Graffuturism. They artists have all been here this week painting murals across the city. Keep an eye on our blog (recoat.blogspot.com/) for the photos, film and map of the whole project.
The exhibition opens 7-10pm tonight and then runs till the 31st of July. The participating artists include SheOne, Duncan Jago, Jaybo Monk, Matt W. Moore, Augustine Kofie, Nawer, Morten Andersen, Poesia, Derm, and Mark Lyken. All the work will go online next week here- recoatbigcartel.com/..
"The UK's first comprehensive "Graffuturism" Exhibition titled "Rudimentary Perfection" brings together an impressive group of notable international artists linked by their innovative spirit & shared graffiti heritage. Each of these artists has ventured down a unique path, offering a radical take on expressive, figurative & letter-based abstraction. Each artist is traveling to Glasgow to paint a mural around the city. A map of the murals and a short film documenting the project will be produced."
