UK to US A/P import questions, by drevil on Aug 23, 2011 18:00:59 GMT 1, Hi all:
Noob forum member here (US-based). I am looking to possibly make my first overseas purchase - a couple of A/Ps directly from the UK artist.
Does anyone on here happen to know what the US import tariff % will be on these prints?
Also, is it possible to request a VAT refund? I know that when I have visited the UK and other EU countries in the past that I was able to request that, but not sure what the likelihood would be here. Any idea what percentage the VAT refund would be if it is possible? I think I saw 17.5% in some threads, but I'm not sure.
I searched around for answers to these questions, but couldn't find them on here.
Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

UK to US A/P import questions, by johnnyh on Aug 23, 2011 18:14:46 GMT 1, Just a quick note. No idea on US customs. On vat two ways of not paying UK Vat. Ship it out direct from supplier. They then have proof that it was non vat collectable. Or you have 3 months to get it out yourself and claim it back at the exit point
