Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by Deleted on Sept 15, 2011 17:07:00 GMT 1, love the Parla, Titifreak and Neate!
that neate was also in the auction in 2008 (their first). Then it had an estimate of 30k-40k gbp, now 15k-20k.. lovely piece.

Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by hlarmy on Sept 15, 2011 17:22:41 GMT 1, I find it interesting that a Banksy Gold Flag print has the same estimate as a Charming Baker original (ยฃ8-ยฃ12k), and will be very interested to see what the latter goes for considering originals at the last show sold for ยฃ60k+....
I would expect that JR original to fly as well

Im not sure the scattering of artist submitted lots helps either the artists or the auction ?

Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by johnnyh on Sept 16, 2011 0:06:44 GMT 1, Another interesting piece is the Blek canvas. A 1 of 3. One of the other 2 is in the Bonhams auction and the estimate starts 2k lower. Plus it's in a Perspex case.
So shows the differences in estimates be interesting what they both go for. Too big for my place otherwise would def take one of those.
Bonhams 4 - 6k Dreweats 6 - 8k

Hence it's high estimate.

Not that I'm aware of, and not since his recent successes. It'll be very interesting to see what happens here

Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by rsj on Sept 16, 2011 10:41:26 GMT 1, Charming Baker. Very interesting indeed. If at least two of his big name collectors are aware of this auction, I would expect it to achieve a similar gallery price level as his recent canvas, as otherwise it would potentially devalue what they see as their investments. With the quality, I think it would attract quite a lot of interest...
Personally I am a bit surprised by the high estimate of the Nick Gentry. I just don't see that much real artistic value in his works so far.
The estimate of the David Choe original seems pretty fair in comparison (although that particular one is not my cup of tea).
RYCA's Cherry is so new it is still available to purchase from ink-d (from same edition of 3)...

I am pretty sure that this will go great guns. Too much wrapped up with this chap so it's going to go past double the high estimate.

I tend to agree, I like the Neate, but even that isn't one of his better pieces.

Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by BK83 on Sept 20, 2011 14:57:58 GMT 1, I agree. Too many artist submitted lots here to take it seriously.
Disappointing that someone is already offloading one of the Sweet Toof pieces from the NYC show. Sweet Toof must be pissed. I would take that person off my sell-to list if I were him. That is really unacceptable. If that piece does not sell at auction, it will devalue Sweet Toof in the short-term. And maybe long-term.

Dreweatts Urban Contemporary Art | 10 October, by Deux Spin on Sept 23, 2011 9:12:32 GMT 1, For me the pick of the bunch are the JR, Blek "Walls" and Banksy Silver/Gold.
The Ben Eine "Hero" is pretty cool, and so is the Speedy Graphito "Mario Street" - although not sure its worth near the estimate?!
I agree a few too many submitted lots here, in my opinion their previous London auction was stronger.
