I need to insure a couple of highish value items and this sems to throw the high street lot.
Value is no where near enough for a specialist insurer.

Simples
Go to AXA direct
www.axa.co.uk/insurance/home
Their standard policy covers £65,000 of contents including individual items (including art) up to £12,000 without the need for listing them individually. Total valuables cover is £24,000 in any one claim.
I guarantee they will blow every other price into bits

Totally agree with the above however as an insurance advisor I can categorically say that unless your art values at £35k or more AXA will be around a quarter of the price for Hiscox for an equally great service and payout percentage.
AXA dont pay brokers so i have nothing to gain from my advice
;D

It does affect your premium (added £200 on the premium to insure two prints!)
Also don't cover business in the home.
