Day out in London - what to do?, by Zippy on Dec 10, 2011 15:39:46 GMT 1, I have this week off work as needed to use up holiday.
Kids still at school and I don't fancy any DIY.
So, it's time to head into London and visit museums and Art Shows. I can't seem to find the 'events' thread so please feel free to post any suggestions!
I've been to pow twice on the last 2 Thursday's (EVOL opening and book launch).
Has the xenz show finished?
If anyone fancies a lunchtime pint or 2 let me know. Last time I met up for a quick drink with howlinhooker. 5 pints and 3 hours later I left the pub.

Felt quite tired when I got there after a day of galleries, but left full of beans due to the vibrancy, colour and energy of the work on show. Some truly stunning work there and well worth a visit

Bit disappointed in the show tbh ... would not make a special visit, unless you are doing the rounds. Yeo at Rathbone is very good ... looks shut with the low lighting used, but push on the door! David Walker next door in the Rook & Raven (over two floors).... nice ... also looks shut, but push on the .... POW they were taking down the book covers this pm and replacing with evol stuff.
Stolenspace at Truman OK show. Popped into their pop-up shop, 1st flr, at Kingsly Crt (spell) (off Carnaby St) .. some nice smallish OGs at good value 1x stain on bookcover, sickboy etc .. also the *new* Dface Going Nowhere Fast Ed25 ยฃ350... but not sure how long they are there for so best give them a call first.
