BONGO HOLE IN WALL QUANDRY, by jam on Aug 25, 2007 21:31:21 GMT 1, I don't see why someone would neg you for swaping... unless they think the Monkey Queen is poor taste! Have a + from me... seems like you are looking to make a fair swap and I would expect someone will take you up on it!

BONGO HOLE IN WALL QUANDRY, by griffinj1980 on May 16, 2011 19:28:44 GMT 1, Long time occasional lurker, rare poster here.
One for the nostalgic heads.
When ebay first started going mad for Banksy ie. people were starting to bid £400-£500 for prints, POW (I think) were listing some of their last pre-LA Bansky prints at BIN prices things but then new prints started to dry up apart from a few Art Republic prints (a couple of rats and CND) which were listed at BIN £300ish. I bought one of these thinking it might be last chance to get something cheap.
I was really pleased with the rat but when I came to move house I needed some extra cash...this was the time Bongo was gorging himself on rats and looking for a Because I’m Worthless print. I met him – a well adjusted, knowledgeable art fan – around 2007/2008 and helped complete his Pomme De Terre that he kept banging on about. I swapped the rat (in a nice ironic antique gilt frame that was purchased for pennies from the local charity shop) for a chunk of money and a Moron’s print. He was very happy to complete his set and at the time I was to. However looking back the money was frittered away and I sold Moron’s the year after.
The lesson I learned is that it is much easier to sell a Banksy than to buy one. And you should keep the art that you really love as it may not come around again. I’ve got a few nice pieces but thinking about it now that rat would be make my collection so much better.
Nostalgia!

So true! I sold a CWSB for £1800, couldn't believe that I could treble my money so easily, and that in turn allowed my to buy 4 other Banksy prints. Really wish I had kept it now and found another way to increase my collection, not to worry, no one could have predicted what happened next!

I've heard that when on one's death bed there's a couple of issues that never get brought up:
1. You never hear 'I wish I worked harder' 2. You never hear ' I wish I never shagged that'
In time added to this list will be 'I wish I never sold that signed Banksy' ;D
