Shipping Insurance Questions , by maseo7 on Jun 5, 2012 2:10:09 GMT 1, I went to the post office today in New York and was going to ship a print to London. They say they can ONLY insure it up to $650 which is not close to the actual value and Fedex says they can only insure it up to $500. How do you add outside insurance on top of it or what other methods can be used? Anyone else have this problem. I do not think the limit was this low years ago. Any info or help would be appreciated. Thank you all in advance! -Rob

Shipping Insurance Questions , by kennyre317 on Jun 5, 2012 2:37:04 GMT 1, sorry i don't have much experience shipping prints internationally but i know when i dealt alot of timepieces everyone would always used a service called "parcel pro" which is a 3rd party company that will insure the pieces. regardless of the claimed amount on the customs tags parcel pro would insure the total amount we specified.
you might even give them a try and see if they'll insure the package for you
