See No Evil 2012 (Bristol), by ricobenfico on Aug 16, 2012 22:47:52 GMT 1, Would have thought there would have been a thread started about this but I don't think there is (happy to be proved wrong!)
[glow=red,2,300]See No Evil 2012[/glow] The UK’s largest permanent street art project returns to Bristol, showcasing the very best of visual arts from 16th to 19th August.
See No Evil 2012 begins on 13th August when 30 carefully selected artists from all over the globe will begin creating their pieces on Nelson Street. This will culminate in a New York Style Block Party on 18th August and Busking day on Sunday 19th August.
Thirty of the world’s most prolific street artists will paint the urban landscape, including abstract artist Mark Lyken, Nick Walker and Conor Harrington. The artists have been curated by Bristol bred graffiti legend Inkie, who inspired the event’s first outing last year. The best of Bristol’s music culture will set the backdrop to live street painting and outdoor stages on Saturday. Buskers will take up a number of pitches throughout the festival site and lead the street party on Sunday 19th August, while artists put the final touches to their creations.
The week-long event is part of the London 2012 Festival, a summer-long arts festival throughout the country to celebrate the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Curated artists will paint Nelson Street, to reinvent a selection of urban spaces, with some jaw-dropping images expected to be added to the Bristol street.

See No Evil 2012 (Bristol), by stanley on Aug 20, 2012 20:47:36 GMT 1, Was lucky enough to stumble upon this on the weekend. Surprised i hadnt heard anything about it. My son and I enjoyed our stroll through the streets looking at the art. I was able to have a cold beer and he got to draw/scribble on a wall and he got a free toy Police hat! ;D

See No Evil 2012 (Bristol), by ricobenfico on Aug 20, 2012 21:04:35 GMT 1, Glad you made it along Stanley.
I can't believe there's been no chat on here about this. Surely one of the biggest art events of the year in the UK considering the named artists taking part, the size of the area being painted etc etc.....
Ah wait, there wasn't a print release....

See No Evil 2012 (Bristol), by victorwilliams on Aug 21, 2012 11:10:19 GMT 1, This was a fantastic event! It's like most things on here though, not many people give a shit unless there's a flippable print attached to it. The talent on show throughout that street is breathtaking and the atmosphere down there on the weekend was beautiful, a real family/friendship vibe with everybody enjoying themselves.
Lots of free hand spray work going on, which I for one found really refreshing. A lot less generic stencils of punk icons or star wars characters more orginal ideas done with style and craft.

See No Evil 2012 (Bristol), by MGK1 on Sept 3, 2012 19:56:43 GMT 1, Check out the 'See No Evil' film here. m.redbull.com/op/rbcom2/en/mcat/video/1243252836417
It's very well done and worth a watch. My pal Hannah (definitely one to look out for) features a lot in the film.
