New Faile print May , by ncewnimw on May 9, 2017 21:26:21 GMT 1, Also, in the past they have always marked down the actual value considerably as a nice gesture. Good luck scoring one.
Thanks all. I got confirmation from Faile that shipping to Eu/U.K. Will be 45usd plus the above mentioned import duties. Great details and very large size.

Faile Artwork, VALUATION, by ncewnimw on Mar 1, 2017 13:56:34 GMT 1, Approximate price of a Faile mini puzzle box anyone? Only one I can find sold at Julien's for a touch over $12,000. Does that sound about right? 3,5k usd from source a couple of years ago. Would say price depends on the images. Wouldn't say 12, rather ~4-5k usd if it sells. Some on here have remained unsold for long time. Please post images.
And yes, I have one so hope it's higher than stated above.

Studiocromie, by ncewnimw on Jan 31, 2017 18:35:06 GMT 1, Buy with confidence. I bought a couple of prints some years ago and it came out good. Delivered to Sweden. Can't remember the name of the guy running things but I believe it's pretty much a one man show why it sometimes takes time for him to respond. Be patient, things will end up well. At least that's my experience. Best of luck.
Dear all, I am curious to hear your experiences with orders from Studiocromie? Especially buyers located in North America, I believe it's easier within Europe. I bought 2 prints on December 21st and haven't received them yet... I wrote e-mails to check in and see what's going on and only had one sketchy reply saying that they came back and that he sent them again. If I'm paying 28 euros for the shipping, I am expecting a fast delivery by a trusted carrier (Purolator, Fedex, UPS, etc.) not the sloppy italian post service... It's unfortunate because I am looking forward to buy more from them but I am not confident anymore. Any similar experiences?

where to see faile work, by ncewnimw on Jan 29, 2017 23:10:34 GMT 1, If going to NYC, make sure to contact the studio well in advance in order to see if it's possible to stop by for a chat
I have been involved with collecting street art for a little bit of time now and I am starting to develop my taste a little. I was wondering if anyone could recommend places to see some faile street work? I am planning a potential NYC trip this year so any advice would be grand and much appreciated.

Faile Print, Canvas, WANTED, by ncewnimw on Nov 16, 2016 23:33:04 GMT 1,
If you check the comments posted on expressobeans regarding the Military Death OG it seems to belong to Maadbeats who is a long time collector and is/was a member on here with same alias. He also has a Flickr account in the same name. Try to DM him. The Faile Dog black light print is fairly well prized on the bay. Good luck!

Large Faile box, by ncewnimw on Oct 22, 2016 19:59:55 GMT 1, Pm'ed....some great images there for a Faile head such as myself. PS I hope this message reaches some members with an answer for this question which I have never seen it asked on any forum. Has anyone ever thought of breaking these boxes/crates apart so you would have 4 separate wood originals to hang on the wall since the boxes are so challenging to display. These boxes never sell for their original asking price due to this challenge. I think it is a good question whether these can be safely broken down since they would be much easier to view. I hope HarveyN or someone has an idea what it would do to the value to amend a piece an artist intended to be whole. I hope my question makes sense. I am surprised no one has ever torn the Faile Dog off of the Faile book Originals and framed it on the wall. The quality of that book cover is worth it if you don't have a Faile Dog on a grander scale! Looking forward to all of your thoughts!
maseo7 Your input makes sense. Myself I'd never dismantle a work of art for display reasons if it can't be assembled back again as originally intended by the artist.
Myself I have framed both a small puzzle box as well as the cubes inside in 3D perplex boxes and placed them in a group hang on a wall with other works. Same with a 1/1 of the prints and originals book. I put the cardboard cover floated in a white box frame without harming the box in any way. Same with a BAST sneaker and the wooden case that came with the works in wood book. Pics on my instagram ncewnimw.
For obvious reasons this is much easier with their smaller works. I know Harvey's have one of these bigger boxes in a big perplex box.

Help buying a Faile, by ncewnimw on Oct 7, 2016 22:13:51 GMT 1, Thanks motor.
I looked at some old pdfs I got. In "Faile summer 2008 - prints and originals on paper" Faile strangely state " edition of 12 (6th edition)". Thou my actual print states edition of 10...
In the "Faile - Prints and originals" book it states "10 releases, edition of 10".
In abborre pdf, the print is named "Faile Dog: Shimmering Red II", in the book the book they only mention "Faile Dog: Shimmering Red".
Quite confusing...

Help buying a Faile, by ncewnimw on Oct 7, 2016 21:23:30 GMT 1, Regarding what look look for when buying a Faile print, check for following: -embossed Faile dog stamp in the lower left corner. -Faile signature in lower front right corner. -stamped number/edition size as well as production date on reverse. -google the print name to find pics to benchmark, email actual pics to the Faile studio for authenticity or post pics on this forum. As far as I know there have never been any fakes floating around.
Good luck in your search - it's addictive 😉

According to mail correspondence with Nick at the studio there are 10 editions of 10 prints in each, all in all 100 prints. Good luck in your search.

Faile "Almost Rapture" Print Release, by ncewnimw on Jul 27, 2016 21:06:20 GMT 1, Why does the edition size matter that much? 300 or 200 or 150. It's still a lot of prints, or not a lot of prints, depending on how you look at it.
I completly agree with you Martin. I understand that the size of an edition correlate with the pricing of it. But, for me, I doubt the edition size ever will make me more or less interested in a print. For me the image, choice of printing process and paper along with the amount hand finnishing is what makes pull the trigger or not.
For me I find these multi layer prints less attractive nowadays due to their lack of imperfections, guess I what em more gritty with thick lawyers of paint and hand Finnish. Thou, should mention I have owned quite a few block prints in the past and they sure do look amazing in terms of colouring and finnish. That said, I'm sure these will find their audience and hopefully end up on people's walls and not on the bay.
