Carl Cashman 🇬🇧 New Painting • Print Release, by tartarus on Oct 1, 2015 10:51:58 GMT 1, I really don't see whats wrong with pre releasing to supporters as a little thank you. If people are buying your art from early in your career, surely thats a sign they really like your work and are true fans. Its also one of the hardest times artists may go through. If your eating only beans and sausages then its nice to do something for the people buying your beans and sausages!
He wasn't always jet setting the world ya know.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 30, 2015 22:47:42 GMT 1, Jesus she has got to be the most blatant flipper I've seen .. Even going to the auction to try and get the APs on the wall ... Im sure the AP will make for a more profitable flip should she be successful; you couldnt make some of this stuff up if you tried I have a feeling she will be out of luck. Its a charity auction so could well go crazy.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 30, 2015 16:05:38 GMT 1, it was bang out of order to see graffiti street ( he had a graffiti street top on so i’m not outing him per say) first tried to push in then when he realised we had tickets was offering £3-400 for the ticket. Bet he had clients prepared to pay 4 times that. must have cos he was that desperate was on the security guard. I actually heard him trying to argue that he was in the queue but was getting a coffee when the ‘unofficial’ and ‘fixed’ tickets were given out. Him and his employed staff went at this guard for easily over an hour. it was only when the fellas at the front realised what he was up to and called him out did he skulk off and join the back of the queue. Cheers for sharing this. Better to know where we strand i say.
And graffiti street, you can assume i won't be back in touch after all!

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 28, 2015 23:03:50 GMT 1, Im not sure how much of that is aimed at me, but since the words came from Stiks mouth i guess they were pretty accurate at the time. Not sure i have said your stik room is silly either have i? Ive had 3 originals on the wall for years, so it seems unlikely. I seem to remember you stating you sold them all, then all of them magically reappearing on your wall! That was a good trick. Some might say hype, but its all just words really eh. Bit like free range and forum guardian, seems near impossible till you realise its just words! Not directed at you at all. You are correct that almost all my STIK prints have been sold throughout the past few years. I luckily was able to hold onto several originals. Fair enough, just me being a mardy fucker after a couple of hours on the train then.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 28, 2015 22:04:35 GMT 1, Commisions are a bit more than 3k. Try 12k if you can even get one done. And that was months ago. I guess people accusing me of being a hype machine for STIK throughout the years can now put that to rest as he proved to be an artist worth watching. I guess my STIK room doesn't look so silly anymore. As for 12K for a commission that is a very low estimate IMO. Im not sure how much of that is aimed at me, but since the words came from Stiks mouth i guess they were pretty accurate at the time.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 28, 2015 21:11:07 GMT 1, Only If the payment is completed , sometimes between parties vested interest to bid high then list more ;-) I couldn't agree more, there are many sheep who know the price of everything but the value of nothing. Is it worth 2.5K? or 3K? Correct its what people pay for it but if you are guided by some initial eBay sales that can be so manipulated especially after all the hype on this thread. Once the hype dies down, what else can you buy for the same amount? Stik does commissions also. Correct they are more than 3K but for a one off compared to 1 in 100...tells me that perhaps 3K is the wrong price. But I've been wrong before!!!

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 27, 2015 22:34:19 GMT 1, I have phoned two local framers and they have both said the horrible words.. Dry mount! I saw the ones float mounted in a box frame at the exhibition and really just want something similar for mine. Should it be straight forward to achieve the same? The framer I usually use said the print would move around subtly and not stay flat? Do I need to try another framer? He isn't wrong. They tend to ripple and settle depending on the conditions. Seems to be pretty standard.

Happy choppers og/street piece, by tartarus on Sept 27, 2015 21:59:08 GMT 1, Funny you say that, cos thats where he bought it. In an early series. The prove was "we had it off a hoarding in xxxx street london"
Not exactly rock solid. Think he paid 50k for it.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 27, 2015 19:34:01 GMT 1, So what you really meant when you said "stik specialist" was in fact "he's squarity/ryca's framer" When it comes to bending the truth you defy physics at times. I thought people were smart enough to read between the lines. he probably framed the baby prints that you see in photos at the hospital. He is known for framing stik work. A little googling will make that obvious. if i need to spell it out to the lowest common denominator like some cheesy cosmetics advert then i will. dont think i have ever debated over a framer before. No need to big up pfg242, otherwise he would get no time to get my bits done my dogs also a stik specialist but really s**t a framing. No thumbs. what you should do is stop talking crap and hyping things! you make this place positively sketchy with your manipulations and ramping. says forum guardian so some will see that as trustworthy, which is a disgrace in truth.

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 27, 2015 18:39:23 GMT 1, A Stik specialist?! You mean he's framed some Stik prints before?! Or is there a special skill needed for Stik prints? He frames stiks prints.. As in he is stiks framer via squarity. also very competitive with price, dont be ripped off by 'others' for conservation framing. So what you really meant when you said "stik specialist" was in fact "he's squarity/ryca's framer"

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 25, 2015 12:33:00 GMT 1, Someone selling (or attempting to sell) a poster for £1,750 on the Bay. "Like the general public I too had been there all day" Delusions of grandeur At least they picked the right ebay name! also claiming to be hospital staff!
"I was one of the lucky staff to have the pleasure of meeting Stik in person, shake his hand, exchange a few words and receive this fantastic piece to commemorate the day which he signed in front of me. What an awesome guy! "
Nice!

Stik Sleeping Baby, by tartarus on Sept 24, 2015 23:08:43 GMT 1, Whoever just pulled the red one off ebay, is going to be mighty pissed off when ebay charges them 62 quid for the privilege! Do they charge for cancelled listing with 2 days to go? He must have received quite a bid! I cancelled a few low value items recently, to change the listings info. They charged me 10% on the prices they were at.
Just ebay taking the mick as ever.

Amazing to think that to get this print now, i would have to pay out more than i did for an original of it!!

Congratulations Corbyn and Watson, by tartarus on Sept 13, 2015 22:26:59 GMT 1, I realise that for some, it's probably too much of a ball ache to Google 'Corbyn osama full quote' and then read some words so: "In a clip from the Press TV show the Agenda, Corbyn is heard complaining that there had been “no attempt whatsoever that I can see to arrest him and put him on trial, to go through that process”. He went on: “This was an assassination attempt, and is yet another tragedy, upon a tragedy, upon a tragedy.“The World Trade Center was a tragedy, the attack on Afghanistan was a tragedy, the war in Iraq was a tragedy. Tens of thousands of people have died. Torture has come back on to the world stage, been canonised virtually into law by Guantánamo and Bagram. “Can’t we learn some lessons from this? Are we just going to sink deeper and deeper? “The next stage will be an attempted assassination on Gaddafi and so it will go on. This will just make the world more dangerous and worse and worse and worse.” Maybe don't always pay attention to Tory attack dog tweets or the op end page of the daily mail.
and of course Tony Blair and the Labour party was also a tragedy.
"a tragedy upon a tragedy" means what exactly?
It's just sound bites for Press TV.
Corbyn has some good social policies but don't we all.
He's also a nutball marxist who ignores stuff thats going on in order to push his agenda as all politicians do.
Er one bad thing after another, doesn't take much to think about now does it! But i guess thats you choosing to ignore the patently obvious in order to try and prove your point isn't it.
Bought yourself a sandwich board yet? you saw more of them in the 70's too.
Can see you on a street corner screaming "the end of the world is nigh"

Congratulations Corbyn and Watson, by tartarus on Sept 13, 2015 15:48:29 GMT 1,
Maybe so but he did say it was a tragedy when Bin Laden was killed.
he has some good policies which doubt will ever comme to fruition.
Apart from that he is old Labour and a bit of a commie marxist.
I think his objection was to summary execution by a death squad rather than a love for the bearded one. At last, someone said it! Ive heard it so many times, but your the only one to actually point this out so far!
He is being surrounded by bullshit and misquotes/half quotes. Shows a very weak form of attack if you ask me. Pretty much says we have no substance to attack but we will anyway.
now where have i seen that before.
