un authenticatable banksy original, by Extra Ball on Aug 28, 2018 16:38:46 GMT 1, Hey everyone, Finally got a reply back from PCO (after 2 years wait) telling me that the original i submitted was un-authenticatable. So little backstory on the peice. when i was a kid my mum used to hang around in the same circles as banksy, this lead to me being taken to a number of festivals and free parties when growing up. I've actually met the man a few times, though that was way before he became such an international success. so skip forward a few years and my mum heads to Glastonbury where she's with banksy and friends. she asked him if he could do a quick doodle for me (as I was a fan, especially considering I have some second-hand ties to him) so here I have this awesome card from the man himself. It's been kept super safe since i got it on the 15th of august 2008 anyway, it's a true original, nothing else like it on the planet. some may say I'm a fool to think to sell it, but honestly, just knowing the man is enough for me. so It's a piece I've been interested in selling for a while so is there anything that I can do? without the COA it will be difficult

Sandra Chevier Sculpture Release , by Extra Ball on Aug 27, 2018 15:59:14 GMT 1, I wouldn't be surprised if the price had been revised down prior to the release due to the bad reception she faced. I do not think I'd have one if it was free. when the finished product was presented to her, she accepted her marketing. I imagine that this artist has a minimum of artistic sensitivity and has realized that it was a dung. Nevertheless, she puts it on sale .... so she takes her buyers for idiots (who I think, are really if they buy that). Why do you want her to lower her price? she's pocketing a nice bunch of dollars and banging on her belly.

Sandra Chevier Sculpture Release , by Extra Ball on Aug 25, 2018 12:05:17 GMT 1, I never understood the artistic sense of her approach and despite all the respect I have for her, her work never gave me the slightest emotion. I do not understand how with a result also bad, it can still put on sale. I remember that I received my Mr Dob a year after the normal date because Murakami was not satisfied with the work done on this series and had done all over again. she should have been inspired by it.

Collaborations, by Extra Ball on Aug 23, 2018 18:29:27 GMT 1, About 15 years ago, if you wanted to certify your Banksy, requests were sent to Damien Hirst's studio. the 2 artists are more than closely linked Damien let Banksy use one of his studios for a bit. The end. I'm not talking about work, I'm talking about certification. Before Pest Control Office exists.

who's the Artist? , by Extra Ball on Aug 12, 2018 13:50:24 GMT 1, What are the dimensions? 110 X 91.50 cms? I don’t know sorry it’s quite big x it may be a silkscreen after a drawing of 1946 on paper velin d'arches 300g / m2. I do not think it's a pencil on paper, difficult to say without seeing it, but in any case it is superb! Congratulations.

Shannon Bonatakis, Mall, & Her Majesty, by Extra Ball on Jul 26, 2018 22:32:56 GMT 1, Shannon Bonatakis
"Keep Magic Alive"
August 11th – September 15th, 2019
Opening Reception with the artist: Saturday, August 11th, 2018, 6-8pm
Please direct inquiries to info@havenartgallery.com
Northport, NY– Haven Gallery is pleased to present "Keep Magic Alive", a solo exhibition of new paintings and drawings by Colorado based artist Shannon Bonatakis. "Keep the Magic Alive" details the artists archetypal, brunette, female protagonist as she journeys through dim worlds to bring back color and life to what was perhaps once lost. Bonatakis's new body of work is full of beauty, hope and revival from the darkness. Her travels and endeavors are gracefully painted through precise acrylic rendering; her hand is steady and focused on meticulous details and thoughtfully expressive appearances. "Keep Magic Alive" reminds us that there is light within the darkness and beauty in the most shadowy of places. ARTIST STATEMENT
For all of human existence we have been seeking meaning through art, music, storytelling, exploration, stargazing, and daydreaming. As the modern world rapidly progresses in undoubtedly amazing technological ways, it seems like the innovations that were meant to connect us have actually isolated us from one another. It feels like a bit of the human spirit has been lost along the way. As I find myself growing older, I find myself growing more anxious about our increasingly emotionally disconnected world. Creating this body of work served as a personal reconnection with the foundations of the human spirit, as well as a respite from modern anxieties. "Keep Magic Alive" is something that was said to me by a close friend that has since grown into a personal mantra. It serves as a reminder to keep working in ways that fill the soul, to keep celebrating the pursuits of creative expression that humans have been drawn to since the very beginning, and to keep watching for the quiet magical moments, both internal and external, that this existence provides. ABOUT SHANNON BONATAKIS:
Shannon Bonatakis seeks to create emotionally charged visual stories that convey authentic emotional moments. The female form is a consistent focus of her work, largely due to her life experiences growing up in a family of seven sisters and one brother. Her imagery is often autobiographical in some capacity, but is deliberately left open for the viewer to find their own story within. Shannon's pieces live in that weird dreamy space between waking and sleeping, where the melancholy of real life mixes with a dash of magic. Shannon has a particular obsession with storytelling, preferring the fantastical people and pictures from stories as a lens through which to view our reality. She is fascinated by dreams, where the magical and the absurd are commonplace, and draws inspiration from these fleeting glimpses of an alternate reality that comes from within. Shannon has sought to replicate this same sense of fantastical realism from the first time she created art as a child. Shannon learned to focus her love of all things fictional and imaginative while studying illustration and painting at Columbus College of Art & Design. Since graduating in 2004, she has maintained a career working as a painter and illustrator. Shannon currently resides in Denver, Colorado with her husband Josh and their part black lab, part dachshund, part dragon puppy, Enid Coleslaw. _____________________________________________________________________________________ Mall
"Whisperers"
August 11th – September 15th, 2019
Opening Reception: Saturday, August 11th, 2018, 6-8pm
Please direct inquiries to info@havenartgallery.com
Northport, NY– Haven Gallery is pleased to present "Whisperers", a solo exhibition of new paintings by Philippines based artist Mall (May Ann Licudine). "Whisperers" is Mall's first solo show at the gallery and is composed of fifteen new works that chronicle the musings of the artists quintessential female characters as they saunter and pose through worlds filled with flowers, cats, moons and magic. An otherworldly journey of anime stylized girls, garbed in kimonos welcomes you into windswept microcosms where blossoms and leaves blow in the zephyr and their unique elegance reminisces of fairytales and folklore. ARTIST STATEMENT
May Ann Licudine's art speak intricacy, sophistication, and complexity as manifested in her solo show entitled, "Whisperers". Greatly influenced by Japanese art, she fashioned her own unique style using resin layers to portray three-dimensional illustrations with mixed media. Carefully placing layers upon layers of resin on painted details and the meticulous process of curing the resin and making sure that the surface is pristine makes her artworks refined and urbane. "Whisperers" is a visual and emotional delight portraying Japanese women living in harmony with the elements. They possess the ability to see these elements when they dream. It is a wonderful depiction of class and beauty. ABOUT MALL
May Ann Licudine is a visual artist and illustrator living in La Union, Philippines. She graduated with a Certificate in Fine Arts-Visual Communications from University of the Philippines, Baguio. She has had several exhibits in Philippines, USA, France, UK and Japan. _________________________________________________________________________________ "Her Majesty Group Show"

Andy Warhol 🇺🇸 Real or Fake? • Sunday B. Morning Print, by Extra Ball on Jul 20, 2018 14:21:37 GMT 1, Totally agree coach but I think we must take into consideration the will of the artist, what is his approach. I imagine that if Warhol took matters out of Sunday B Morning, he had his reasons for doing so. He did everything during his lifetime to produce in bulk but as he wanted, using his circuits. We see a little the same thing with current artists ... WCP for Banksy or lastly the poster published by the Bristol museum (angel with the pot of paint). Dali signed blank boards and let his collaborators work even years after his death. if the impression is unsigned but desired by the artist, it will have a greater value than if it has not been validated, even signed in the plate.

Andy Warhol 🇺🇸 Real or Fake? • Sunday B. Morning Print, by Extra Ball on Jul 19, 2018 16:38:14 GMT 1, the only edition for a reasonable investment is, in my opinion, that of Sunday B Morning with the black stamp. The edition with the blue stamp has not been recognized by Andy Warhol. The prices vary between 800 and 1200 euros for a Soup can and between 1000 and 2000 euros for a Marilyn. Other editions (Bluegrass, museums ....) have no value even plate signed. Lesson learned, thank you! May I know why there’re blue and black stamps? Lesson? No, take it as a tip
black stamp were validated by warhol. After a few hundred prints, he decided to withdraw the rights to Sunday B morning but they had all the right color codes so they continued to mass produce the series Marilyn, soup can, Mao ... he asked the printer to change the colors of stamps on the back to avoid confusion (blue stamp) even if the damage was done.

Legit Certificate, by Extra Ball on May 27, 2018 18:49:16 GMT 1, Guys, put yourself in the head once and for all that Pest Control Office is ONLY to authenticate and issue certificates of authenticity. Any other document has no value !!!!
In addition you have places where to find ALL the prints recognized by the artist and PCO, stop to f**k your money in the air.
There is such a hype around this guy that many unscrupulous guys want to make money, it's like that! Watch out.
pay attention to a guy based in Alicante (too much fake coming from this place)
