Your latest Art Purchase?, by Viking Surfer on May 1, 2017 3:34:35 GMT 1, Recently framed by Darbyshires in a welded aluminium box frame. Wanted a bit more rawness to it, kind of like the metal on the chain. Pics never do it justice but it complimented the work wonderfully. I have just seen this, fantastic!!!, is this the Queue Jumping grey print or the other one? Thanks Jingle!
It's the regular 'cool grey' edition of 100.
My favourite colour way outside of the Gold / Silver edition.

2016 Invader Danger Mouse Edition of 30, by Viking Surfer on Apr 30, 2017 13:14:08 GMT 1, I think OP should hold out for a signed Banksy anyhow, apparently that's the 'in thing' to trade invader prints for.

What else do you collect?, by Viking Surfer on Apr 30, 2017 13:13:02 GMT 1, Awesome! I was just curious that's all. It's amazing what I unpacked and found before I moved to Australia. Favourite comic book character? That's an interesting question and I don't think I have one. I just loved comics. Judge Dredd was my first purchase but after discovering Mega-City comics my interest exploded; Tank Girl, The Vampire Lestat, Sandman, Valiant comics (Harbinger, Eternal Warrior, Magnus Robot Fighter), Alan Moore, Bone by Jeff Smith....thanks for taking me back That's cool, Neil Gaiman did a cool Sandman series. I was always more mainstream marvel / wolverine.
Had the pleasure of meeting Stan Lee at comicon a few years back. Can't believe he is 94.

What else do you collect?, by Viking Surfer on Apr 30, 2017 12:45:10 GMT 1, Before I was introduced to prints and art, I was primarily a comic and toy buyer. This was the first complete set I bought in Soho all those years ago!!! I've been posting more pictures recently because I'm trying to as much as possible create an inventory of what's hidden in numerous storage boxes in my home. Awesome! I was just curious that's all. It's amazing what I unpacked and found before I moved to Australia.

Bisser 🇧🇪 Belgium Street Art • Print Release News, by Viking Surfer on Apr 30, 2017 5:55:03 GMT 1, Any thoughts on why so many hunger prints are available? Adding 75 standard, 25 line, and 10 hand finished, you have 110 hunger prints in circulation. There are currently 9 of them on the bay. What's up with that? People probably brought to flip and then failed.
Also his originals are only about £300. So why buy a print?

Float Mounting • Deckled Edge, by Viking Surfer on Apr 30, 2017 0:10:45 GMT 1, I'm all about the float.
It just looks cleaner in my opinion.
Also, make sure you take plenty of photographs of the print front and back before it goes to frame. If you're getting it done high end e.g. J Jones or Darbyshires and it's being floated, there shouldn't be a need to inspect the print outside of the frame, especially if they have provided a condition report prior to framing.

Banksy • Medicom • Brandalised , by Viking Surfer on Apr 29, 2017 23:01:03 GMT 1, Hi, I will just add my 2 cents, hope this helps: Does Banksy get any of the money from these sales? NoIs this an OFFICIAL Banksy item? I emailed Pest Control and no response It is unnofficial, it is just inspired by...anyone could have done this and from what I have seen there are small difference between the original spray arts and this sculpturesAll the ebay/and toy sellers state that so many many different spins on it... So is this a Banksy piece worthy of or art collections? It is not a Banksy, but to collect it or not, it depends entirely on you. It is a solid art toy.Is this a $500 art paperweight (I have a few of those lying around...) Yes you could think that, this I don't think will be an art investment, if you want it for money...probably no, if you want it because you like it then it is up to youIf you have one or bought one...please educate us ? One final note, it was a timely sale, it is not available now...and buying it from resellers...probably is not so wise, if you are thinking it as an investmentJust my thoughts You can still order from Medicom the majority of sculptures.
www.medicomtoy.co.jp/list/12107.html
As I've expressed before, I actually love the David sculpture, just cant justify so much when its not official or licensed.
BUT if anyone wants to surprise me with one....

Banksy Artwork, VALUATION, by Viking Surfer on Apr 29, 2017 22:53:17 GMT 1, "Thanks for your interest. This record album cover was designed by Banksy in 2000. Many record albums with his artwork are not actually authorized or done by him, this one is. It is still sealed and in excellent condition. The album itself is very rare, to find one still sealed is even rarer. It is available for $5850. Would you like a shipping quote to your location?" thats the reply from EHC fine art Nice pre-suppositional close. Skipping right past the epic price point to the shipping costs. Nice.

Banksy • Medicom • Brandalised , by Viking Surfer on Apr 29, 2017 13:46:53 GMT 1, So expensive. Wow. Someone is buying them though. Well it doesn't help that so many media outlets are claiming it as a 'Banksy collaboration'.
Once again the uneducated will get burnt.

Roseberys Auctions of London 🇬🇧 , by Viking Surfer on Apr 29, 2017 9:12:25 GMT 1, A few Picassos on the cheap for someone who wants to veer away from the urban pieces Yeah, for the vollard series they are good prices but it's important to note the first two aren't signed and the next two state they 'bear signature'.
Not sure why it wasn't clearly stated they were signed and that neither the signature nor plate margins have been depicted in the images.
Would definitely be requesting more photos and a condition report.

DFace Dog Save The Queen Print, by Viking Surfer on Apr 28, 2017 10:03:28 GMT 1, This was my first print purchase from POW back in 2005 too. The order consisted of the above print a insect orange Frankenstein print (edition of 5) and an unsigned girl with balloon. I am happy to say I still have all 3 of them. This lot cost me a shocking £205! Greatest invoice ever!

Space Invader Original From Rubikcubism 2005 , by Viking Surfer on Apr 28, 2017 7:53:54 GMT 1, For the sake of full transparency did this break or have one of the cubes break off at one time? Edit: sorry are you saying this is the fourth peice that was at the show? along with the other three pictured? Or it's the one in the picture? It could potentially have been photographed backwards, hence the discrepancy.
